The Dental Specialists

I have been waiting for a root canal for over a month and fortunately it has not blown up (yet)! Attended a "consultation" appt but xrays not received so was wasted effort. (yes, my dentist apparently did not send but was told I would have to call again to have sent as they could not) Then the doc said it was due to new computer system? Have been rescheduled twice since. They certainly seem dollar hungry as was told that diagnosis/consultation did not include several tests that were not covered by insurance. >$300. Seriously?? They never revealed what the total cost would be and that seems shady. I have doubts about this whole experience but guess I’ll see how it shakes out as I am scheduled today.

Very poor patient service and communications by the endodontist!! (The reception staff and dental assistant were great). I drove 250 miles round trip for an evaluation.... was seen on a Monday and told I would receive a return call that Thursday. No call on Thursday, so I called later in day ( ~ 4PM) to see if there was an update. The person I spoke to told me the endodontist had left for the day, but they would send an email to have him return my call and, if no response by noon the following day, I should call again. Receiving no call the following day, I called the officed again a little after noon. The person I spoke with told me the endodontist was with a patient and would call me back. After waiting a week for a return call, I called again only to be told the endodontist was out of the office indefinitely due to an injury. Really... if you don’t have time to make a return call, or don’t have all of the information you need to respond, have office staff just call and say so! There’s no way I would return to this office...

Everyone at TDS was so kind, friendly, and helpful while going in for a stressful procedure. After getting lightheaded, the receptionist got me water and a juice while I sat to hydrate, and she was so kind through that odd situation. Everyone was confident in what they did during the procedure, making me feel a lot better about having work done. These are great people, and I would recommend! They are on the third floor of the building for reference (:

I take my son to Dr. Shawn McCarthy for his orthodontics and we have had a great experience. Everyone has been friendly, they are on time, the lobby is clean and his teeth are looking great.

Can’t write a review without a star so i gave one but this place deserves none. Took my child to this place for pain while eating and we were dismissed as if we didn’t belong there or was looking for drugs. my child had a cross bite and had pain when eating and these folks told me she was intentionally crossing her teeth. Ortho, Shawn and his assistant, Tara dismissed us, told us maybe we could take it to a TMG. Couple months after diligently searching I found an orthodontist in Cottage Grove who gave us a referral to an TMG with a letter and told us the 2 of them will work hand in hand to find a solution. I don’t want to make this about race, but I will say I was shocked at how this place treated us. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.
