White Bear Lake Dental

A month ago, this would have been a five star review, and I apologize for not posting when things were going well. I am enderly, and did not grow up with any dental visits until I went into the service at age 20. Since then I have had only a handful of dentists, only changing when logistics necessitated . I now spend half time in Florida and wanted to have my cleaning semi-annually in Minnesota. I also had my last dental work done by Doctor Johnson about 12 months ago. We all know the dentists are big on xrays. In my lifetime I have had numerous x-rays performed, and not one of those resulted in finding work that needed to be done. And in fact when I knew I had a problem because of some pain, the problem could not be found by x-rays. My experience leads me to believe that there is little value for the patient in having frequent x-rays. The technician of course steps out of the room during the process, protecting herself from over exposure. I explained my position to the technician, and she went ahead with the bi-annual cleaning, and then announced she could not see me again unless I were to get what I would presume to be frequent x-rays. This may be the first time I will have to choose a Florida practitioner over my home town doctor or dentist. FYI I appreciate the great review rating this firm has, and the dental work and cleaning I have had done in the past has been completed to my satisfaction. I really just want to pick and choose what I want done.

We have had unpleasant experiences with other dental offices in WBL, and have felt judged for not seeing a dentist every 6 months. Dr Johnson and Jesi were so nice to us! My daughter had a great checkup and we both feel like we have definitely found our dental home! Beautiful office too! I like that they offer same day crowns incase we ever need one! Our best dental experience ever!!!!

My first impressions were very positive! Dr Johnson and her team made me feel comfortable. I’m impressed with their kindness, knowledge and helpfulness
