As a regional director for a medical supplier based in Chicago years ago, I had the unfortunate experience of contracting with PDM. Ashish Chawla and his staff convinced me that their "membership base" would begin purchasing my product line within 60 days or so. The reality was quite the contrary, as zero sales were ever generated. My costs of traveling there for 2 meetings and exhibiting at their MedExpo, was in excess of twelve thousand dollars. Perhaps my situation was unique? The GPO market is controlled by a few outfits which control hospital groups and national LTC organizations. PDM is not among those at that the top and is best classified as a deceitful organization. After 6 months of zero sales, you will not be able to get a return phone call or email from PDM. Ms. Jurca "politely" explained to me that my product mix was not a good fit for their membership base, but the truth is that membership base is a non existent fabrication designed only to extract short-term cash from suppliers.
