Valiathan Orthodontics

My wife had excellent care under Dr. Valiathan, who is both extremely kind and professional. Would refer anyone to this great practice.

Passive aggressive condescending orthodontist. Inferior retainers are that dangerous to oral health. They look like invisiline. I don’t think that they are even retainers. Why do they always crack in less than 3 months? Makes you feel bad about it. Then offers a “discount” for these cheap retainers that broke again in less than a week. Uses intimidation against women. Has no other male workers… except for his dentist buddy. Retaliatory, I expect a phone call. To come and, “ talk about it”. Yes he did this once before. Alone in the office on a closed day. Also tried to get a female attorney friend to intimidate me… Not scary at all Should try respecting people… and stop with the cheaply made overpriced “retainers” which are not good for the teeth

Hands down Dr. Valiathon and his staff are top notch!! Absolutely the BEST! We have had 3 kids in his care with the last one will be finishing this year. Our first had serious dental issues and Dr. V was so highly recommended by several in the field that I knew , that I have gladly made the 1 hr drive each way too see him and have him care for my kids. He’s also on the craniotomy facial team at Cleveland Clinic and his experience and expertise shows. We were so happy with them that we stuck with them for her brother and sister We had , at one point , 3 kids at once going there for over 2 yrs and they work with you on payments plans. We have been going there’s total of over 6 yrs continuous now since we started with our one daughter and have had absolutely nothing but an outstanding experience all around!

I don’t even want to mention his name here, he is the worst Orthodontics in the world. He is very rude and mean, and treats patient in two faces. When I asked him to give we parents a heads up about further treatment plan (as the current effect wasn’t good or satisfied), and himself did mention the necessity and possibility of a further treatment plan, that’s why I asked him to disclose upfront, so to give we parents plenty of time to consider, to discuss, and to do research on our own so as to make an informed decision later. Unbelievably, when I asked him to disclose the two general options my daughter might face , he gave me a cold poke face, using a very mean tone, " I don’t have time to answer your question, this is not a school" " Are you satisfied with my service, if you don’t, I am more than happy to refer you to other orthodontics" I was totally shocked there, as the only question on my visit was to ask him to disclose future two possible plans. He insulted me in front of a whole room of people, patients, his colleagues, and other parents. Not only me got shocked, even his assistant was totally speechless, starting at us, acting like " what the heck is going on here?" as she was there witnessing the entire conversation, all I asked was for a upfront disclosure.. This happened in June, 2019, this summer. I thought he might be in a bad mood that day, so I tolerated his unreasonably rudeness, and in hope that he might change his attitude next time. This review was left on 10/31/2019.

Awesome doctor and staff. Always very accommodating to meet any schedule. More importantly they treat you like family. We can all smile proudly. Thanks Dr V and staff
