Bart E. Martin has been our dentist for many many years. I have nothing but good things to say. Bart E. Martin is very talented at what he does including hiring staff that are equally qualified. In addition to this everyone has always been very caring and patient especially when it comes to lengthly processes.

My yearly dental x-rays revealed some infection near the root of tooth 19. In retrospect I should have opted for a root canal, but I chose to have an implant instead. When the time came for a CBCT scan prior to implant placement, the oral surgeon I went to refused to proceed with the implant because she claimed four other teeth were infected and would need treatment first. I went back to Dr. Martin’s office and he spent considerable time with me, showing me each tooth’s x-ray images and spots where a suspicious infection might be located. No charge for what was probably at least a 20 minute consultation. Plus he also stated an endodontist associate of his would also review the images to determine what action was warranted. His assistant Christa was most helpful, most professional and kind to me. Dr. Martin and his staff are absolutely committed to their patients, and if you’re fortunate enough to be a patient of theirs, you will be treated well.

I’ve been going to Bartoo for the past wow almost 15 years. He was the entire family’s dentist. The last visit was for a routine cleaning. The dental hygienist whom was new… said I could NOT get a cleaning unless I took X-rays..I explained to her I did not want any unnecessary X-ray and there was a possibility I could be pregnant. She refused to the cleaning, so I politely walked out. Shortly after I got a memo in mail from Bartoo saying he would not accept me as a patient anymore. WOW I just can’t think of anything lower than that from a dentist. It’s a CLEANING! why would X-rays be necessary . Even if circumstances were different and I wasn’t afraid of harming an unborn child why would I be denied a routine teeth cleaning because I didn’t feel like paying for X-rays ! Wow I hope no one with a conscious goes to this dentist.

We do not have dental insurance . Our daughter was a patient at pediatric dentist who rolled out all the bells and whistles at her visits... tshirts, games, prizes, movies e.t.c. While it was nice and the people were great, the cost became astronomically high- and the impact had little change on how our daughter viewed going to the dentist. Dr. Martin provides affordable and good service. They are timely and rational about the needs of our daughter’s dental care. I’m very impressed.

My teeth are very important to me and as I age my teeth are aging too. An excellent, attentive dentist with a great staff is as important to me as my Internist for the rest of my health. My husband is from Asheville, so when we moved back 7 years ago we asked friends for a recommendation. His friends suggested Dr. Bart Martin and Carol Ann as a Dental Hygienist on his staff. From my first visit to this week’s latest emergency of a gold crown falling off, Dr. Martin and his staff (thank you Marlo, CDA ) have been nothing but amazing. I am a faithful patient and highly recommend this gentle kind expert, Dr. Martin, along with his staff to keep my smile bright and genuinely happy.
