I had to have a wisdom tooth extraction and a coronectomy. I expressed my concerns over being sedated with Dr.Slater. He took time and fully explained why I needed it and the day of the surgery I was nervous. But he treated me like family. No pain ,just minor swelling.He even personally called to check on me. Dr Slater is the BEST oral surgeon in Blount County.

My dentist referred me to go here and have oral surgery and I am so glad he did! Dr. Slater and his staff are so friendly and treat you like family. They will do everything in their power to make as comfortable as possible. I had to get an IV and I did not even feel it! I’m not sure how that is even possible, but I didn’t! I highly recommend! Dr Slater even said he is building a new office in Lenior City, right across the hospital, on highway 321.

I’ve been to Dr Slater several times and I’m hopping to be able to go back He is very professional has great bed side manner, his work is the best you will ever have ,he is sensitive CARING he called to check on me not his nurse he called. GOD has blessed him in what he does and it shows. Just a great Christian beautiful person that is highly intelligent. I would recommend him to everyone.

Excellent and best ever experienced with oral surgery done by Dr. Otto Slater. I relayed my experience with anesthesia and he listened. I did not experience the normal nausea & vomiting from it. My mouth is sore but to be expected. Dr. Slater called that evening of my procedure to check on me and make sure all was well. I was sleeping off anesthesia still and missed talking to him. So next day I returned the call and left him a message. I was pleasantly surprised by my anesthesia experience and soreness being minimal and so thank you for a great experience. He returned my call later the second day from home. He made me feel he truely cared about my experience & well being. Thumbs up Dr. Slater. Third day I get a floral delivery from Coulter Florists from Dr. Slater & Dr Jarrell my dentist. "Thank you for giving us the opportunity to care for you." Never have I ever felt cared for by my doctors like this. Most amazing experience ever! Thank you for being an excellent oral surgeon Dr. Slater!

My 6 year old son was referred to Dr. Slater for an abscessed tooth. I was appalled by his bedside manner with my son. He was very rude and had no idea how to speak to children. I have no idea why a pediatric dentist would refer anyone to Dr. Slater. The rest of the staff was fantastic and I feel bad they have to work for him.
