We went through a living nightmare with this doctor. This "special needs" doctor cancels appts constantly. She has no regard for the patient’s needs at all. My autistic son was referred for surgery asap for a type of rapidly growing cavity, among other things. The first appt available was 3 months away. When the day finally came, I drove an hour to get there only to find they had cancelled it and forgot to notify me. They rescheduled another 3 months away. Then AGAIN she kept cancelling his appts at the last minute and rescheduling for several months later. Finally, after 10 MONTHS, we arrived for the surgery (which they had again changed the date for the 4th time). We waited 3 hours for them to call him in, and they told me she could only do part of the work he needed and it’d be another 14 months for the next appt. Then, they told me it’d be another 2 hour wait before they operated (his appt was scheduled for 12:45 and they told me at 2:30 it’s going to be another 2 hours, so 4:30). My son hadn’t eaten in 14 hours and he was ready to have a meltdown. Dr Dorsey’s lack of regard for the families with special needs children is appalling. She just doesn’t care. I’ve been so upset through this whole process, waiting almost a year just to get brushed off like he doesn’t matter. He missed his first week of school because the cavity was so painful he wouldn’t behave. I cry for my son everytime they cancelled because I knew he was hurting so bad. He was so excited for school and this practice ruined it for him. I hope Dr Dorsey is ashamed of herself, and what she puts her patients through. I hope this review helps others from having to go through what we went through. I wish I had read more about this doctor before deciding to put my son’s care in her hands.
