Dental Solutions of Winter Haven

I’ll start with the pros 1) Initially I went in because I was having tooth pain everytime I ate. I called this office anwas pleased they could see me within the week I called. I was also happy that they were able to rectify the issue on that same visit (usually dentists want to do an initial visit and then have to come back to work on the issue). 2) the view of the lake from the chair is peaceful 3) every time I’ve had to go in, staff was very prompt. I would get to the appointments on time and within 5 to 10 mins of waiting in the lobby area I’d get called in. So not a long wait to see the dentist at all. 4) staff is courteous The cons 1) it feels like u have to wait to be seen forever. Scheduling the appts after being seen initially was at minimum a month out, but the wait to be seen can be longer. I had to wait almost 3 months to be able to be seen to get a teeth cleaning 2) After being seen and then discussing which teeth needs fillings, staff said I could choose which tooth I’d like to do that way it will work with my budget. The first time I scheduled to do fillings, I selected two teeth because at the time that is what my budget would allow. I had also set extra money aside just in case it came to more than what was quoted (that tends to always happen no matter what dentist u go to it seems, they always find a way to bill u extra). Dr. Polo took it upon himself to do an extra tooth instead if the two that I wanted to do because as per him "it was right there". So him deciding to just go ahead and do the third tooth without telling me prior to starting (I only found out when it was time to pay) blew thru my budget because of course there was additional things he had to do that my insurance did not cover. Had they stuck to just the two teeth that I wanted to do then $200 wouldn’t have been added to my bill which was already high (there was a product used that insirance did not cover and this was for each tooth). This was big for me hence the 3 stars because I feel as though they just bypassed the original agreement of what was supposed to be done and did so without consent. Takeaway I would still use their services if they would stick to what the patient wants to do after it had already been discussed instead of doing what they want to do because it was convenient for them.

I do not know how they can improve!!! All of the staff from clerical to professional are friendly, courteous and efficient. They make the client feel comfortable and part of the organization.

Went to see them last year, complaining about last dentist that did and suggested their ideas and procedures that left me with the same problem as I went in for. Too much talking and don’t listen to the PATIENTS problem that they came for. I spent my hard earned money and still have the pain of food getting trapped between my tooth. I’m not pleased with the dentist or the consultant. They’re just in the business of selling procedures, and not good listeners.

Just had a temporary crown done. Shout out to Dr. Polo, Ray, and Ashley! They are awesome! Ray made me feel comfortable as she got me ready. Dr. Polo is so kind and gentle! He takes his time and explains things as he works. He was so positive and encouraging during the whole procedure. Ashley put the temporary crown on and also explained what was happening. I am 71 years old and still have some trepidation when going to the dentist. However, I’m always amazed about why I would be that way after seeing Dr. Polo and his assistants. Also, Laurie, my dental hygienist is awesome! Love y’all!!

This is actually Lisa Henson, not Layla :) As always, Laurie, my hygenist was amazing! She does a fabulous job! She is kind, professional, courteous, and very personable. I always book with her. The office staff also greets you with a smile and has a friendly and welcoming attitude. The atmosphere is such that you feel relaxed and at home. Dr. Cruz is amazing, kind, humble, professional, knowledgeable and totally interested and committed to the care you need. I highly recommend Dental Solutions for your all of Dental your care! They treat you like family!
