Pediatric Dentistry by Dr. Jerry Copeland II

Today was my son’s first dentist appointment, he is a 1yr old . The staff was very friendly and welcoming, Dr.Copeland was very personable and punctual. I loved that he was gentle with handling the fluoride treatment . The office was very clean and cozy, we have happily scheduled our next appointment (:

Dr Copeland recommended I take my 5 and a half year old daughter to Dr Domenico, a complete different office, to have some work done. I thought it was strange that he was sending me to another practice to have her work done, but he said he didn’t have any availability in his schedule to complete the work. My daughter did not allow him to get an accurate assessment of what she needed done. So I book an appointment with Dr Domenico for an evaluation & he mentions that she has some cavities but because she would not keep her mouth open for a long period of time, he said he would need to sedate her in order to know exactly everything that needed to be done. So at the appointment while my daughter is sedated he comes and tells me everything that he is doing and also mentions that she has cavities in her two front top teeth. Meanwhile the sedation only lasts about an hour so I was under pressure to either fill them in or pull them out. He recommended for me to pull them out & I called my husband as well & told him what Dr Domenico said, so he agreed to do what he said. It was such a fast decision to make, but I regret it so much. She is going on 7 years old and still has two missing teeth in the front top. I am beyond resentful at this point. I did have some X-rays done and she does have some teeth forming from what I was told however I am so disappointed I trusted these two dentist. Never taking my daughters back again.

Dr. Copeland and his Team are AMAZING and always has been. I went to Dr. Copeland when I was a child now my kids go to him. Literally the only dentist I trust taking my kids to. The dental assistants are patient and friendly with the kids as well. Overall and amazing experience. See ya in a few months.

Just had our first visit for my 4yo and 2yo, and I’ll never go anywhere else again. This is hands down a fantastic dental practice. The hygienist was SO good with my children. She took time to explain everything to them and show them her “tools” and made it such a fun and positive experience, without rushing at all. She was so patient when my daughter started to cry and took her time to gain her trust. My kids are already asking when they can come back. Dr Copeland was so full of energy and explained everything to me (and my kids!) .. we felt like we were family. Thank you for a great experience, we are so happy to have found this gem.

Dr. Copeland is great. The kids love him and he’s easy to talk to if you have any concerns. Wait time is never long and there’s a Volkswagen Bug shell for the kids to play in while they wait.
