We switched to this practice several years ago and were very happy with Dr. Draft and his staff. Right around COVID, we learned Doctor Draft and his wife divorced and he was living and working with his new wife, who was a dentist in Canada. We were told Dr. Draft could not travel regularly to Michigan due to COVID restrictions. The office hired several new dentists who recently graduated from dental school. One of the first red flags that we did not see at the time was a large turn over in staff, including front office, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. We continued going to the office due to our positive experience in the past, even though we experienced minor issues after Dr. Draft moved to Canada. One of my sons went for a routine filling by one of the new dentists. Immediately afterwards, he experienced pain and sensitivity to hot and cold. He went back twice for the pain and they did not resolve the issue. Eventually, our whole family decided to go to different dentist offices. When the new dentist went to replace my son’s filling, he commented that the previous dentist drilled the tooth within 3 mm’s of the nerve and it was the worst he has seen in 22 years of practice. He filled the tooth again, but was not hopeful that it would fix the problem. My son still has pain and sensitivity and will most likely need a root canal. I emailed the office asking them to pay for the root canal and they never returned my email. My son called and was given the runaround by the front office staff and was never able to talk to a dentist. He was told second hand that the dentist said teeth can deteriorate after a filling, even though my son had issues immediately after. My son called again last week and never received a return call. We were only asking for them to pay for a root canal for a problem that they caused, but are now considering a lawsuit for the price of the root canal, along with pain and suffering for losing one of his permanent teeth for the rest of his life.

Dr. Draft is the best dentist I have found in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

Dr. Draft is the best dentist in Grand Rapids. No question. Even after my family and I moved to Kentucky, we would schedule our dental appointments around when we would be in Michigan next. Dr. Draft uses the best equipment, has the friendliest staff, and most of all, he is the most honest/knowledgeable dentist around! Would recommend ANYONE to him.

I have used Dr Draft and staff for around 8 years. They do an excellent job and I think they are very fair in their pricing. Their staff is friendly and helpful and I look forward to many more years with them.
