Hastings Family Dental Care

Called to make an appointment for my husband and was told yes, they were taking new patients, but the receptionist was a bit odd and despite us having good insurance and wanting to establish as a routine client she just kept stammering over her words and telling us “it won’t be a good fit” and “dr Randall has told me to tell you your husband won’t be happy as a patient here.” It was the strangest conversation I’ve ever had with a medical receptionist, but it sounds like they are not really interested in providing dental services to the community

I absolutely love Dr. Randall and his staff they are amazing. I normally hate the dentist especially getting fillings but they go above and beyond to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. They are great with my kids as well. I highly recommend them.

ok, this was the strangest conversation i have ever had with a denist office.I moved to hastings 2 years ago from grand rapids , since my old denist was over an hour away it made sence to find one in the area i live in. First i asked if they were taking on new patients , and she said well that depends on your oral hygene. Do you have films? I said well i could probably get them from my previous denstist. I mean who has profesisonal films of their teeth just hanging around?... So i explained how i was recently divorced and didnt have insurance for about 4 years but before then i always had regular visits and went to the dentist. But yes i would be basiclly starting from scratch. Ceaning ect.. She said well why did you call us? Were you reffered? I said no.. i googled denstist in my area and gave you a call. . She said well I dont think its gonna work out and it " wont be a good fit ". Then she said i know that sounds strange... I said yes acutally it does lol and I said ok i have good insurance with Delta so im confused as to why it wont work since i have good reguarl oral hygene in my 40’s and good insurance. If you are taking on new patients the why wouldnt it work out? She said ok well why dont you tell me about yourself,...I said ok do you want to hear about my dental histroy? She said no lets just chat and get to know each other...whats your name? I said well you just told me its not going to work out and wont be a good fit so im not sure what you watn to hear from me, so i am confused about this conversation and theres really no point in telling you my name and life story if your telling me its not going to be a " good fit ". She said yes its not going to be a good fit . Sounded like she just maybe wanted gossip to play with lol i dont know but if i could rate a zeroe i would for being so rude and wierd. Just lost a good client with awsaome insurance. Guess Im making the hour drive back to my old denist office. lol After reading some other comment i am not the only one who has expeirenced this with this office. Call anyone else but this office .

Dr. Randall and his staff have always been extremely helpful in getting me in when needed. Our son was visiting from North Carolina and broke a filling. Dr. Randall was willing to see him same day and did a great job alleviating our sons fear. We always recommend him to family and friends.

We moved to Hastings a few years ago. We stumbled upon Dr. Randall‘s office as we pass it nearly daily in our commute back-and-forth to our home. They are a very well oiled and efficient operation. They are gentle with our kids, and responsive to our concerns. We look forward to being loyal patients for years to come. Not the least expensive, but definitely a good value. Remember, cost is what you spend, value is what you get. Highly recommended.
