As far as staff & the doctors, they are wonderful. However… they are overloaded with patients, so scheduling is a nightmare. A two month wait to get a filling!? All the while you are still accepting new patients. 🤯 If you can’t see your current patients in a reasonable timeframe for a filling or a cleaning, it seems like poor business to accept new patients without adding another doctor.

Great with kids. But great with withholding information on extra charges. Our special needs daughter needs different ways of accessing her mouth. After being used many times we were charged for this and our insurance doesn’t cover the cost. However we were never told of this cost. Doctor suggested she comes in once every 3 months, also not told this wouldn’t be covered. Dentist/clerks were not clear with the extra charges and did not tell us our insurance was “not accepted by their main insurance model,” therefore over charging us without knowledge. The blatant miscommunication is causing us to go elsewhere. I’d expect better from billing department and doctor/assistant when suggesting all of the above in the future. Special needs kids and their parents, should not be taken advantage of.

Going to the dentist can be scary and shameful, but Hudsonville Family Dentistry really goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly! I had an appointment after not going to the dentist for a few years and Dr. Holton and Jessica made me feel comfortable and welcomed! Julie also helped breakdown the expected cost for me and even went out of her way to verify some costs with my insurance company. I would highly recommend scheduling an appointment here (especially as someone who hates dentist appointments 🙂).
