Smart surgeon poor employer. Read your own handbook don’t ask about other offices please. Take your time. Life is a marathon not a sprint. Peace 😁

The way I was treated by the receptionist when she thought I had public insurance made me sick. Once she realized my insurance was private (and good)…total attitude adjustment. I can’t believe there are people out there like this, but what a nice reminder.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Dow based on a referral by my dentist. Arrived for the appointment early as a show of respect for the office and the doctor’s time. 40 minutes past my appointment time and I still wasn’t called back from the waiting room. I understand staff sometimes do not show for their shifts, but a call from the office would have been respectful of my time. Sometimes doctors’ offices neglect to understand it’s not just the doctor’s time that matters in the relationship, it’s also the patient’s time. I took time away from my work day to be there and had to leave without being called in from the waiting room. This was disrespectful of my time and I will not reschedule.

I had to have my tooth removed because of an infection in my jaw. Dr. Dow was very nice and asked me many times how I was doing during the extraction. After the procedure was over his staff called me to see how I was doing. When a complication arose Dr. Dow came In on the weekend to check on me. I had a great experience. I would definitely go back and recommend his services to others.

Update: They contacted me and had a check immediately available for me to pick up. The dr and hygienists were awesome. However no one else seems to know how to do their job and I am out almost $200 for it. Been waiting on a refund check for a service I paid for out of pocket cause I was told insurance wasn’t going to cover it. Okay fine, no big deal. Had to cancel my next appointment cause I couldn’t afford it at the time. I get a letter from my insurance saying that they had covered X amount of previous service and I would likely owe X amount to the office. So, I called and asked about it and that’s when they told me I had a credit. Why not mention it when I said I couldn’t afford the appointment (which I’m wondering if insurance would have been covering that too and I was paying them money for their own benefit)? I asked for a check to be sent to me. 2 1/2 weeks went by and nothing so I reached out. Check hadn’t been sent because apparently the book keeper took a vacation that whole time. Why not tell me that at the first phone call? It’s now been 10 business days and two weeks since last contact. One month since initial contact and I haven’t received it. I will never go back here. We are a single income family with two kids. Money isn’t disposable. Like I said, paying it initially wasn’t a problem. It was the fact that this office got paid twice for it and had no intention of letting me know that.
