There can be no better dentist. His manner is utterly reassuring; his professionalism absolute; and, bonus, technically he’s an ace. I’ve ended up needing 5 crowns (lousy tooth care as a kid, big cavities and fillings, they’re failing as I reach my 60’s). Every one perfect. Oh, one that was causing a little pain, what’s that? boom, appointment that afternoon, quick analysis of the pressure vectors on the new surface, grind off a little tiny protrusion, bingo, pain gone in a day. Never any pressure to do a procedure, that’s up to you, his job is to educate you; then do the work if you elect it. Meanwhile, great fun staff. His hygienists are a kick, always an efficient job of it. Billing has never been a problem. Appointments easy to arrange. They don’t hit you over the head if you miss one either (shoulda). Six stars: Dr. Balkins is the pinnacle of dental services in this area.
