I would give zero for 1st impression, customer service, and representative answering the inquiry. First and foremost: I have worked running a very large global dental implant office and know this industry inside out. That said, I now live in Modesto since Covid and am of the age that medicare HMO supplemental insurance is needed. There are many dentists that do not take HMO insurance, many seniors that do not know this, and lots of confusion among consumers. I am knowledged and know this... FIRST IMPRESSIONS say as much about the Dentist as the 1st impression of the DENTIST himself. Here’s what happened: 1) I review website. Doctors credentials were not listed. I called and asked the receptionist ( who also does Dr. Kangs billing as I found out--- maybe a 1 man 1 woman type of practice)--- Where did Dr Kang get his credentials? Her answer not the University name but "Boston". I then asked her for clarity ( What School?) . She sounded "miffed". 2. Then I explained to her that I have two plans: a PPO with another dentist in town, and that I have an HMO plan supplemental medicare comprehensive that I am seeking a dentist that takes this Delta Dental insurance ( tied to Kaiser medicare). Her response to this was "What plan". I repeated. And we went through this scenario 2 or 3 times. She became more miffed. Note: I am direct and ask clear questions and have a strong voice. She repeated herself. So I asked her: Can you tell me the questions I should ask the insurer and Kaiser to clarify to you what plan as you say there are too many plans to know and that I must be referred. ( Note: this practice is states on their website that they take HMO Delta Dental Medicare). The receptionist was also asked if she could text her questions ( they do not text) and or email so I can find out. I said DIRECTLY " I am trying to bring you business Maam". Outcome: She then said to me QUOTE UNQUOTE " YOU ARE NOT A FIT for our office!!!! And she hung up. 3). This is HORRIBLE situation. I can handle this. I worked in corporate my career with customers, patients, and difficult people. But, I was not being difficult, I was being direct, to the point and said to her THESE ARE ALL FAIR AND REASONABLE QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS. Outcome: If the front office acts like this what does the dentist act like!!!!! And note: Anyone needing a good PPO Dentist ( he does not take HMO) go to Hillock Dental Group on Coffee Road.

Very unprofessional Doctor, never on time, always run more than an hour late, rooms are very dirty, always in rush, doctor dont want to listen to patient. Very small rooms with full of clutter and dirt. He took Denture impressions 7 times for my old poor mom. He lost first two impressions and told us “ oh I just want to take impressions one more time and I wanted to know if previous impressions are correct “, I don’t to want to recommend anyone to see this doctor. I give him 0/10.

This doctor is great! I came to this... doctor because I had tooth pain... and di’dnt even have a appointment time scheduled... but the doctor see me as soon as I came inside... Fast treatment of the tooth and no pain after the medicine... Hyo is really good guy who helps all pain...

Great customer service. All my family comes here. My last visit I was in so much pain I needed a Root Canal, Dr took care of it right away. Thank you for taking out of pain. Front desk girls are always nice and friendly.

I am very unhappy and was in alot of pain during my dental work. The dentist got approval for certain work and didn’t tell me what he was not able to cover. He did 6 root canals at the same time and I felt every bit of it. Had I known my insurance was not able to cover the procedures I needed I would not allowed him to work on my teeth. Now I have 6 holes on my front lower teeth where he drilled and he did not fill them right and I feel the holes very well. No crowns nothing. It’s not common to do a root canal with out crowns. I am very angry 3 days later still in alot of pain. He’s shady and I don’t recommend this dentist what do ever him and his billing staff are shady and not in any regards caring or considerate to the patients. For 3 hours he drilled on my teeth and kept trying to numb me and it wasent working and all he can say was it’s ok just a little more.
