17th Street Dental Care

I’ve been taking my family of 7 to this place for almost 5 years. It has been great for our family until recently. They had even let me take 3 kids at a time because we live an hour away. We’ll over the past year the front desk has been a mess. Either they can’t find my Apts in their system, they lost power, they are closed the day of my appointment and forgot to call, or most recently today I called to confirm my 4 appointments for Wednesday and they said they can’t find my appointments in their computer because our appointments didn’t transfer when they switched over and then she hung up on me!!! I made these appointments August. That was 5 months ago. I’m extremely upset with the front desk service and am looking for a new dentist now.

I was very happy with my experience at 17th Street Dental. From reception to the hygienists to the dentist, everyone was very warm and welcoming! They were all very good about explaining procedures and costs, as well. I’m looking forward to my next visit! Edit (one year later): After going a few times I decided to adjust my review. I still think the staff is very attentive and warm. It feels like they all really like working there, however, I started to feel like every thing was an upsell. They were constantly trying to get me and my husband to add in additional services like teeth whitening. It started to feel too much like the teeth cleaning didn’t matter, just the additional services. Ultimately, I ended up switching dentists.

Just ok. In the many years I have been a patient, I have been treated by many different dentist. Maybe this is one of the disadvantages of this plan which appeared to have the most affordable services. It’s also a bit frustrating to be on time then have to wait more than 30 minutes. Once treatment begins, everyone is nice.

So glad I chose this place as my dental provider. Everyone was really kind and interesting, I was attended to on time as they said. The Dr. lady dentist is really skilled and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Clara the hygienist, I hardly felt anything at all!! I’ll be going back in 2 weeks for more work ,I feel that I’m in good hands. 5 STARS

They have a great staff, answer any questions, front office is always smiling and amazing customer service. Both doctors that helped me so far, are always fast, safe and resolved my issues. I been to 2 dentist offices in Bakersfield and 17th st dental care makes me feel comfortable and satisfied every time I have a visit.
