The staff are all friendly, very informative, and great with kids. I wish adults were allowed to go there too. I would love to be a patient.

My daughter has been coming to this office for many years. She is special needs and she requires alot of attention because she gets anxious. The staff are so wonderful and caring and provide the attention she needs, and front desks staff are very helpful to me. We have never had a bad experience in all these years and I couldn’t imagine taking her anywhere else. Dr. Chey is the best. Terri G.

Thank you for taking great care of my child. They took the time to answer every question my son had about his treatment and called his worries about the filling procedure. We have our our new dental office!

I chose to bring my kids to Kern Kids Dental after reading all of the positive reviews. My kids brush their teeth religiously and have regular dental cleanings/exams, so I was a little surprised when I was told that they each had two cavities, especially since they have had check-ups every six months since they were toddlers and have never had any cavities. Additionally, the dentist recommended that both kids get sealants, which I agreed to along with treating the cavities. Six months later, at their next cleaning appointment, I was told that one of my children had two cavities and the other had seven confirmed cavities and one suspected. The dentist went on to say that one of the cavities was pretty bad and once she began working on it she’d be able to tell if a crown was needed or even a root canal. I was shocked, especially since she had recommended the sealants which were supposed to prevent against future cavities. When I expressed my concern to the dentist, she told me that she has an “aggressive” approach to treating cavities. My gut, along with her admission that she “aggressively” recommends treatment, led me to get a second opinion. I took my kids to another dentist for another set of X-rays. That dentist told me that one of my kids was cavity-free, and the other had only one very tiny cavity that could be quickly filled. I’m appalled that a professional who works with children would subject them to completely unnecessary, painful, and invasive treatments. The dentists and other staff at this office are polite, but there is no excuse for this level of dishonesty. I’m so relieved that I trusted my gut so that my little ones weren’t forced to undergo any additional unnecessary dental work.
