Our family loves coming to Timberlane. Amber is hands down the best dental hygienist I’ve ever had in my life. Very thorough and quite knowledgeable about recommending best home care practices!

One of the best pediatric dental offices in my opinion. Because of my son’s special circumstances they had to accommodate with general anesthesia at the surgical unit in order to get all the work and his cleaning done. They didn’t berate or belittle us about his teeth, they understood the struggles with sensory dysregulated kids and even gave helpful suggestions for tools and samples to use to help with brushing/flossing and regular fluoride exposure (we don’t have fluoride in our water).

I’ve been to this dentist since I was a child with mostly good experiences, so naturally I decided to bring my son here once he turned 1. Everything was great until the pandemic hit. There was a lot of hesitancy with appointments for both the doctor and dentist. We ended up having to miss one of his appointments due to having COVID and it pushed our normal yearly check up. Because we didn’t get to see the dentist for a little over a year, they stopped accepting our insurance with no warning. They did however let us know that we can still be a patient but only if we pay out of pocket. I’ve never heard of this happening anywhere else. I called our insurance company and they were also very confused and attempted to reach out. When I asked more questions I was redirected to a voicemail box and my messages were never followed up on. In my opinion, this policy is extremely discriminatory to people that have a low income/are on state insurance. It’s extremely frustrating having been a patient here since I was a child, paying thousands of dollars out of pocket for myself over the years (Timber Lane is EXPENSIVE compared to other practices) and just because life got busy and a PANDEMIC happened, my son is no longer welcome there. They really need to be upfront about the possibility of dropping your child’s insurance before they take patients. I’m not even sure if this is legal -- I know it’s illegal for dentists to refuse children with state insurance in Vermont. Now my son isn’t able to be seen by a new dentist until next year. This place is more concerned with profit than providing care for the patients that need it the most and I find that appalling.

Ashley did an AMAZING job with my kiddo who is generally terrified of the dentist. She explained everything she was going to do before she did it, she answered all his questions, she made it clear that she would stop any time he gave her the signal, and her incredible patience resulted in the best cleaning my son has ever sat through. The dentist was also great when she came by to check him out. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly as well. Highly recommend!

My children have gone here and I tried to schedule an appointment today. Apparently because we haven’t been in the past year my children won’t be accepted with their insurance. No problem if I want to pay out of pocket but not with their insurance. Although the law allows you to accept a specific insurance but only a certain amount of patients with it, does not mean that is right! I’m so sad to have to try to find a new office after my two oldest are already used to this one. Not to mention, telling a single mother of 4 that she can pay out of pocket because her life got busy and she forgot to schedule an appointment a little earlier. I also have no memory of getting any type of reminder that they were due for appointments and with 4 kids I take care of it’s nearly impossible to remember everything.
