Shelburne Dental Group

I’ve been a patient for 18 years (since age 35). I’ve seen specialists (oral surgery) and my girls have been to orthodontists so I’ve been around other dentists, and I’ve always chosen to stay with this practice. Everyone is polite, friendly and professional. Dr Melo has worked with me over the years to address my dental concerns, and I feel comfortable talking about the cost of options with him and the office staff. I highly recommend this dental office. I even felt comfortable going in for an appointment today. I have not gone many places during the pandemic, but I was comfortable COVID-19 precautions they were taking. Update 12/27/2020: I went in for another visit - just a routine cleaning (with Joe) - he was professional, did a great job and I felt very confident they were taking a lot of precautions to reduce the chance of COVID. I felt comfortable and was thankful to get good dental care during our pandemic. Update: 12/15/2021: 3 visits this year for routine stuff and a tooth that needed a little extra TLC. Covid protocols are still in place, of course. I’m thankful for the consistently great dental care at this practice. Joe cleaned my teeth yesterday. They have very low turnover with staff, which is a good indicator too. Update 5/02/2024: There has been a change in dentists and some staff but this office remains the friendliest and most competent of dentists in the area. I’ve been in Shelburne for 25 years and have recently tried other dentists due to staff changes everywhere. I went back today as a returning patient because I realized this set of providers (who were hired by Dr Melo) can provide consistent care and good treatment options.

Excellent. Very warm, welcoming staff. They put me at ease, which is hard for me at the dentist. Very kind, caring people, from the front desk, to the hygenist, to the DR. My new dental home! UPDATE 5/2/2023-As it turns out, I need quite a bit of work done. These folks run right on time, are very caring and really try to put their patients at ease. I am not the most comfortable person in a dentist chair, but they take their time to make sure I’m doing ok. They use the latest equipment, and are generally wonderful people. Five star for sure! UPDATE 8/29/2023.... UPDATE COMING.. PLEASE STAND BY... I’ve got to lower my score to a 3. They abruptly stopped providing care for me because my insurance company screwed them on some money on a completely different patient. Just, STOPPED! I was left with holes in my head from the extractions that were already done. I still believe in the providers, and the advanced assistants, but the lady at the front desk is not a nice person.

Dr. D and staff are really fantastic. The entire practice is very welcoming, kind, efficient and skilled. I found Shelburne Dental Group using google reviews and am glad I took the advice of others who left a review. Happy to leave a 5 star review and recommend to all. I am such a fan I drive an hour north to see them!
