Top notch dental services. I particularly like that they show you pictures of your teeth if anything beyond a cleaning is recommended. It really helps to understand and also goes a long way towards building trust.

Every time I had a filling it was done incorrectly. They set the expectation that if it doesn’t feel right after a couple days to just come back in and get it adjusted, never had that in all the dentists I’ve been to. Multiple times my filling would break. The final straw after a year or two of this was when they had told me I had 4 fillings, but I couldn’t make the meeting and they rescheduled a couple times, with my suspicions growing. A year later they told me I still needed the cavities filled and on top of that one of the previous fillings had broken for the second time. The dentist told me that I would need to likely have a root canal at the endontist and she referred me to a friend endontist (another big chain). She set the expectation that I would likely need the tooth pulled and the tooth was too far gone. I obviously was skeptical and decided instead to go to my old family dentist in Cary that I’ve known and used my whole life. I brought the axiom paperwork showing the exact teeth they said would need fillings, and the one tooth that would need root canal. My old dentist confirmed my fears, that the cavaties weren’t cavaties at all they were just simple stain from eating drinking coffee etc. he looked at the tooth that they said was dying and performed several tests and X-rays, and confirmed there was nothing wrong with the tooth. That was back in December/january. I just went for my semi annual appointment and what a shocker, all teeth are still completely normal. No cavities and no root canal needed. It’s also worth noting we had the same experience here with axiom with my wife and two boys. 3-4 fillings needed every time they come, but other dentists completely contradicted this. It seems there is a quota of fillings to hit in this churn and burn shop. It’s a pity because they seem nice, charismatic, but with this experience it’s impossible for me to avoid the facts and what actually happened.

The staff is friendly but I’ve been back multiple times for the same issue. They were quick to get me in as the issues persisted but at this point I’ve given up on them being able to help. They were sloppy with fillings and left extra composite on a tooth that made it uncomfortable and had to redo another filling entirely. They were kind and empathetic to how frustrating this experience has been for me but overall I don’t feel as though it’s quality care.

I was very happy at my first visit here. I have "dental phobia" and Ellie made me quite comfortable. She and Rachel both were very kind and enabled me to relax during my visit

The staff here is so friendly and understanding. They really take their time to hear your concerns, address them and create a game plan to repair and restore your smile. I would recommend them 1000x over to anyone that asks. Thank you Dr. K & staff!!
