Let me begin by prefacing the absolute terror and angst I generally feel regarding dental visits. Due to all around horrendous pediatric dental experiences, I was not excited about my visit to the dentist. However, I was even less of a fan of my gums bleeding, and the pain that often followed tempered foods or sugary snacks. I’d already scared myself silly, googling all the possible culprits for my pain and sensitivity. I tell myself "I am an adult. Get over it!" And I did it.... But Cary Smiles took away my self achievement.....It was easy to enjoy my visit. They were kind, and gentle, conversational, polite, funny; they talked me through everything: any discomfort; the procedure they’d recommend, they allowed a very open space for me to report any problems, they didn’t even scoff when I admitted to not scheduling myself a dentist visit for over 5 years. (The pediatric dentist really did a number). So anyway, that’s just the first visit. Turns out I had a cavity!!! The one thing scarier than a dentist office, its a needle! And of course I was familiar with the old needle in cheek cavity removal procedure-- courtesy of a candy crazed adolescence. Anyway needless to say, I was petrified. I scheduled my next visit and forgot about it. Then I showed up----- I was nervously babbling about my very real fear of needles and guess what--- kindness, understanding. There was no judgement! I was given the numbing cream--- and like magic it worked. Okay, okay you caught me--there was no magic, just a wonderful staff who care about their patient enough to practice patience when it comes to the medicine. It did it’s job, and then came Dr. Rahee. Let me tell ya-- he really did his job. Not only was it refreshing to see someone who couldn’t have been more than 5-8 years my senior. He came in, spoke to his staff with respect and kindness. Everyone was at ease--- well that is except me. After all he was about to stab me with a needle. But then he did..... AND I FELT NOTHING. Like nothing. Really, I felt his hands on my cheeks and moving around inside my mouth; but a needle--- a needle I most definitely did not feel. I was so shocked iliterally turned and said did you already do it. I was amazed. A very diligent yet gentle procedure by far. 10s across the board. If I’m being honest I could write all night, about how this office is life-changing. But let me start to wrap things up. I hope you understand the significance of this: I recommended Cary Smiles to both my sisters--- the only two with whom I have shared dental related trauma bonds. That’s saying something. I rave about Cary Smiles to anyone who’ll listen. I even took a handful of cards to actually give out to people. I want them to know that I have the best dentist in the world!!!

Embarrassingly, it has been about 5 years since I had seen a dentist. My teeth were in decent shape but I was beyond due for a cleaning.. I had some bad experiences before that left me less than thrilled with the thought of going to the dentist. But I knew it was time so after researching reviews, I decided to try this place out and I was pleasantly surprised. The hygienist that did my cleaning was so gentle yet thorough. She talked me through everything she was doing and why. All those little spots of build up are gone and everyone was super sweet to me. 10/10 recommend this place!

I’ve been a patient at Cary Smiles for over 15 years and seen it passed amongst 3 doctors over the years. The receptionist is always welcoming and helpful and the dental hygienist always remembers me and does a thorough cleaning. When I arrived to my last appointment it was immediately clear to me that Dr. Shah is investing a lot in modernizing the office, not only cosmetically but with updated devices, fixed a machine that has been broken for a while, and the practice has a new patient portal software. When I met with Dr. Shah I expressed mild concern about a possible cavity that the old doctor said to keep and eye on. He listened to my concerns, asked additional questions, reviewed the new X-rays and did multiple tests to see if he could prompt sensitivity I had described. Ultimately he made a note to continue to watch that tooth but also advised me on proactive steps I could take to make sure I did everything in my power to keep that tooth healthy. He made me feel listened to and his advise for proactive steps eased my concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and his team.

This office is fantastic! It’s like a little family. The hygienist remembers me from previous times and ask how things are going. They genuinely care! I have been going there for over 10 years. Even though there has been a changes in practice I still highly recommend. I have have had numerous dental issues over the last couple months but Dr. Shah has been amazing!! If you need a recommendation, I highly recommend this office!!!
