McDuffie Dentistry

I was attended to by a traveling dental hygienist. She was very professional and caring. She took the time to get to know about me and she told me a little about herself and why she chose to be a traveling dental hygienist instead of working out of one dentist office. Her personality was very pleasant and seemed to be genuinely concerned about my dental health. I was comfortable with her cleaning my teeth. I would love for her to be my permanent hygienist.

I have been to Dr McDuffie Dentistry for many years. It always provides excellent dental care for me. Use the tooth cleaning I had early this month as example. The dental hygienist Robin was very friendly and professional. She took time and went through every teeth from every angle to remove coffee and tea stains. Her skill was great and made you feel comfortable through the whole process. They are wonderful people with great skills.

The front desk admin lady, Talora, verified my insurance and coverage before I scheduled an appointment. Then 1 month later I received a bill for an x-ray that my insurance won’t cover even though the office told me I had to get one that day. They do not return calls, put me on hold several times for over 10 minutes, and even hung up on me without calling back. Besides the billing issues, the office feels old and lacks technology. The chair arms were broken and kept falling off, the x-ray machine wouldn’t scan correctly so my appointment ended up taking 15 minutes longer, there was no music so there was awkward silence most of the apt, and while the hygienist was nice, she was a temporary employee. There’s a lot of dental office options out there. Go somewhere else.

Make sure your teeth are clean enough before going to this dentist appointment otherwise she will tell you your teeth are so dirty and tell you to pay extra money because your insurance doesn’t cover for the extra cleaning job. I declined and asked her to just do the normal cleaning for what my insurance company covers for but she declined too she told me I should reschedule my appointment to a later date which didn’t make sense to me why after spending an hour with the dentist hence she didn’t clean my teeth on this appointment. This was a waste of my valuable time l was very disappointed with this dentist.

I had a delightful experience at McDuffie Denistry. The staff was polite, friendly, and informative. The facility was spotless and the patient registration was thorough and easily completed by using a digital system.
