I would give a zero if I could. When you make an appointment, ensure it’s two hours before you actually need your service to start because that’s when you’ll actually be treated. Even going in at 7am, I was told the doctor was running behind so booking first thing is no guarantee of timely service. I went in for a filling today and waited for 90 minutes before my appointment began. But don’t fret, I was numb for about half that time because they took me back to the chair to wait there rather than the lobby where I’d have the option to leave and numbed me 30 minutes before the dentist found time for my appointment. Surprise surprise, I had to be numbed again when they finally began working on a procedure that should have been started when I came in for my appointment an hour and a half prior. Today after my appointment, I was told that I owed an additional nearly $200 from an appointment over a month and a half ago. They said this was because the claim just came in from my insurance company, which I confirmed on my account. I contacted my insurance company, who stated that what they cover is available on my plan that the office has access to so I could have had the cheaper option done and had the procedure appropriately covered appropriately. At best, they did not confirm the procedure would be covered fully and I am hopeful this was just an unlucky oversight. Instead, the more expensive one with less coverage was pursued with no chance for me to make a decision on what route to go. I wasn’t given an option of services. I was told “this is what we’re doing”. Somehow their mistake is my problem and their explanation is basically a “shrug your estimate is just a guess it means nothing” indifference to giving patients the correct bills or the ability to choose the level of service they can afford so that they can, I don’t know, plan their finances correctly. Absolutely insane to have this additional bill dropped on me through no fault of my own with zero sympathy or care except when I’ll be paying. I’m now expecting to get these “corrections” for the foreseeable future. I was told this happens all the time and yet have never encountered this until coming to this practice. Lack of timely service, lack of patient quality care and lack of billing capabilities can only lead me to believe this place is focused on taking money from patients coming to them for their dental needs. The hygienists and assistants are amazing and you can tell their empathy and discomfort having to apologize for the regular long waiting periods. I would love for them to have more support because they do seem to care about the people in the chair. People already fear going to the dentist for a variety of reasons. This practice only confirms those fears that patient-centered care doesn’t exist in this field.

I am sad to express that this is not a dentist office I would recommend to anyone who cares about good customer service . First of all you can never get ahold of them because they do not have a direct phone line to their office , all calls go through answering service so if you need to talk to someone for an urgent matter you have to go in person . Emergencies can’t be taken . Second they make you sign paperwork while you are sitting on your chair about to enter your procedure , Charge you for whatever they decide without explanation but at the end you signed and they say yes it was explained. A lie ! They gave me a toothpaste for sensitive gum without telling me there’s a cost just because I said I felt sensitivity. Their answer was “why wouldn’t there be a charge for it ?” Bottom line there’s plenty of excellent dentists in Atlanta to chose from. Avoid Buckhead Smiles!

I’m so sorry to leave a negative review because I only ever use this platform for good ones - but I feel like I need to let others know of mine and my husband’s experience. The front desk staff is so warm and welcoming but the tech and the dentist I saw don’t have any bedside manner and rushed me out of there. No one asked me how I’m doing. No one explained to me what they were doing while they were doing it. The equipment they use is dated and they don’t offer anything to make your experience more comfortable. The cleaning itself was sloppy and rough. She left me with blue paste all over the sides of my mouth. The dentist told me I might need a root canal and a crown but didn’t take the time to show me the photos of my teeth, explain where the issue is, or any next steps. My husband is there right now getting a crown and the tech just told him she’s quitting today. I’ve been to a dentist down the street where the experience was 10x better across the board. My previous dentist at Buckhead Cosmetic & Family Dentistry took the time to know me and my family. She walked me through the x-rays of my teeth and explained every detail to me. The equipment was modern and new, the office was clean and beautiful, they offered noise canceling headphones for anything from a cleaning to a large procedure to block out the sounds of the tools. The only reason I switched to Buckhead Smile was because my insurance changed. It’s a shame because again, the women at the front desk are so kind and welcoming. But once you get back in the chair, it’s a totally different story.

I have been coming to this practice for years. Unfortunately over the years the level of customer service and professionalism has decreased dramatically. I have request the same dentist, but each time I am giving someone different. Each dentist has a different treatment plan which means they do not communicate effectively. Its all about what they can bill you for. Not the actual patient. I’ve been coming for years and they still don’t even know my name, but I’ve spent thousands. As I type this, I am currently still waiting after 3 hours to get a fill in. This is so sad and disheartening.

First call to get my cracked tooth repaired. Appointment was given the next day. I was expecting them to access it and make another appointment to repair it. I was shocked when Dr. Grayson explain what was going to happen next. I said right now? She said yes is that OK with you? I love service like this. No wasted trip, no three four appointments. The staff was up beat and greeted each customer with a nice hello how can I help you. Good dental service is wonderful and to add good customer service is a bonus. Too add I should take better care of my teeth since I don’t like going to the dentist and shots. The Dr. made that experience pleasant and I didn’t feel a thing. Nothing! I could say more but I think you get my total experience was "I am staying with Buckhead Smile."
