Dr. Sandra L. Vargas, DMD

After reading a review from someone about this office mis-quoting estimates and ending up paying more out of pocket, never thought it would happen to me. Well, just recently I was told that my insurance denied a claim. The bad thing about it is that I find out about this almost a year later. Now, on my most recent visit I got somewhat an uncomfortable feeling being in that office. Now I have been a patient with this office years ago but I left and went somewhere else. The reason for my leaving was that I felt this office is all about business and how much more money they can make their patients spend whether insurance or out of pocket. But, I wanted to give them a try again years later so I did. So I had a procedure done. An extraction. Long story short, I was being convinced to do an implant. Well, we all know how expensive out of pocket an implant is. I suggested a bridge work as it was suggested to me by another dentist due to the high cost of implants. You know, you can always tell by talking to someone how sincere they are or how business minded they are. Needless to say, the dentists in this office cares nothing more than more business than their patients. So, after the implants I have been ignoring them and delaying the decision making of having something done with the extracted tooth area because I wanted to see if I should go somewhere else. But, I did go back one more time for cleaning. Of course, after the cleaning procedure the dentist comes in to check. It wasn’t my usual dentist, it was someone else that came in. As soon as she steps in and glanced at the computer screen she made a comment "Oh is this the ..." stops her statement and had this funny smirk on her face looking at the hygienist. It made me think that something was up. So, she checks my teeth. Now all the sudden the back tooth that is suppose to hold the bridge (as I suggested by letting them know that I really do not want an implant) does not look good and may not be able to be saved. Now I’m thinking...hmmmm? So if there is no back tooth, then bridge is no longer an option. Chaching!!! more money for them and more out of pocket for me. You know the stories about auto mechanics and the so called "conspiracy theory"? this office kind of reminds me of that... Looks like I’ll be going to a different dentist from now on and forever.

I love this place- Everyone is friendly and patient, it’s pristine, and the technology is way better than my last dentist. Dr. Wong is very kind and gentle - I honestly fell asleep while getting cavities filled! Dr. Vargas also found some major issues thay my husband’s last dentist completely missed. Highly recommend!

The team at Sandra Vargas is very professional, thorough, patient and gentle. They use the best equipment. They are everything you want from your dentist. I’ve been coming to them for about 6 years and never had a complaint. I definitely recommend them for your family.

I hope the practice can share my before and after pictures (permission granted btw). I had broken one of my front teeth as a child with it being subsequently crowned at age 16 and then again just before my wedding in 1980. Over the years it began to separate from the gumline and the color no longer matched. My other front tooth was being held together with various fillings and one of the other teeth in front (incisor? Canine?) never descended completely. Quite an ugly looking mouth, really. I was embarrassed to smile much or be photographed. Dr. Vargas carefully prepared these front teeth for cosmetic restoration (four in all) and the results are nothing less than spectacular! Finally, I have a healthy beautiful smile I am proud to display. I highly, highly recommend the dental practice of Dr. Sandra Vargas. She and her staff are patient, kind and considerate and they do beautiful work. I am very grateful to be their patient.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Vargas. She the best dentist I’ve ever had (I’m 47). She is kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable, but what I like most about her is that she makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Her staff is extremely helpful, polite and always happy to help. I almost forget I’m going to the dentist because they make me feel like I’m checking in to a fancy spa.
