Dr. Thomas D. Cherry, DDS

Every time I call because I have heard such good reviews about Dr. Cherry’s work from peers in the dental community and working in operations for an in network dental group. I have to deal with Stephanie and her poor attitude with not allowing for a word to get in. First, several months ago she stated the provider didn’t like to way my insurance paid for a frenectomy that he was in network with and listed on the website as accepting new patients. And that “he doesn’t want to see anyone with this insurance right now” When asked why Dr. Cherry doesn’t change his participation status or report that he isn’t accepting new patients. She states “ because he wants to wait and see if it will change” Then when I finally get an appointment after trying again and having the office state they will submit a pre-auth that may need to be resubmitted if Dr. Cherry diagnosis a separate procedure (ok with that) she argues that why would she submit a pre auth. Literally what? It’s so we both know how your office will get paid and how much I’m suspected to owe. I have heard referring offices have had issues with dealing with specifically Stephanie, but hey, she’s been there a while right. Completely turned off especially because so many respect Dr. Cherrys work.

Dr. Cherry and his staff are amazing. I came here for a gum graft and he explained the whole process and answered all my questions. He is so nice and very professional, and the office staff and nurse who helped me were phenomenal and so nice as well! This whole office is amazing, and Dr. Cherry is very knowledgeable and I felt very safe in his care.

Dr. Cherry is the best periodontist and his staff is wonderful. He is the kindest, gentlest and most knowledgeable doctor! I’ve had numerous procedures and am always grateful to have him as my doctor. I highly recommend him to everyone looking for the best possible doctor and staff.

I had my first visit today and wow! Nancy was very kind to get me in when she had a cancellation, Stephanie gave me a complete breakdown with estimates from my insurance when I was sure they wouldn’t cover my visit, Doris was kind and gentle with the x-rays, and Dr. Cherry explained everything to me thoroughly and had read the information from my referring dentists and my doctor. I’m impressed and would highly recommend this dental practice.

I was worried about going to Dr Cherry’s office after my traumatic experience with previous periodontist. Everything about Dr Cherry and his office was praiseworthy. He has excellent front staff who calls for prior authorization gives clear explanation about insurance coverage. DR Cherry to pictures of every tooth in my mouth. I have never had this before. He showed me on hugh screen every tooth in my mouth and the problems related to them. I have gone again for my treatments. The dental hygienist and the nurse are extremely helpful. They showed me how to brush the teeth correctly and how to floss. I have been to several dentist in the past but no one has taken that much time and effort towards my dental health. DR Cherry should be called Dr True Gem and I am glad I found him. Someone said "Every tooth in a man’s head is more valuable than a diamond." I am very happy he treated my teeth as diamonds. Thank you.
