Smiles For Kids

I have two kids, age 9 and 11. Our cleaning today went perfectly. The dental technician was very informative not only with me as a parent, but with my children about their brushing and flossing habits so they can improve. The dentist reviewed their x-rays and explained the results and orthodontic implications. I was very honest about insurance needs and cost concerns. Staff responded appropriately, so out-of-pocket costs were noted I had of time. I’m glad this is their new dentist!

Staff is extremely helpful and comforting to the children. Totally recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist for their children.

Very poor time management! I am adding this comment after 4th time waiting for more than 45mins of my son’s scheduled appointment time! This time I had to write this review to express my displeasure - they took my son in after 45+ mins of wait and then left him in the dentist chair.. he was on the dentist chair for another 20-25 mins doing nothing!!! Crazy! My son was exhausted and said what’s going on, that’s when I had to intervene and check with folks around! Doctors and support staff is really kind, nice! Management has to plan their schedule better!

Firstly, The Male Dentist is great with kids. He was gentle, quick, and made my daughter laugh all throughout the process. Unfortunately, the location doesn’t feel very sanitary. It’s a little run down and not very clean. Also, the rest of the staff is really pushy about procedures and about wanting parents to not stay with their kids. They scheduled my 10 year old for extractions TWICE after my asking them to wait on it for a few months. I came in for other reasons and they had the extraction procedures scheduled. I declined again but they still tried to convince me to get them done. It made me really uncomfortable to have that pressure when the teeth are on their way out anyway! It didn’t make sense to me and I’m not great under pressure so I hate being put in that position. At our last visit, I was told my 9 year old daughter is too old to want to have me near even after I let them know she had a bad experience previously and had anxiety about seeing the dentist. They completely dismissed that and made mention of how we should trust them and how she’s “too old for this” MULTIPLE times. I was just quietly staying nearby. I Didn’t say a word and was completely out of their way but they seemed bothered by my presence. The vibe was off for me so we will be finding a new office.

I had to take a star away because of the wait time. I think wait time is normal for doctors offices but here we’re talking about much longer waits. Feels like they’re always over booked or short staff. I understand if this happens sometimes here and there but it’s every single time. It makes it harder since kids have less patient and I don’t think any of them are excited about going to dentist to begin with.
