Ammons Dental by Design James Island

Very, very friendly and accommodating as I’d had to change my appointment date and time twice. They made me feel like I was visiting family! Denise was amazing, explained everything clearly and concisely. She was gentle and I didn’t feel nervous at all. Dr. Hustead was gentle as well and was very patient with me showing me my x-rays, which looked like an MRI (I’d never seen that before!), so it was very interesting. I 100% recommend Ammons Dental!

What a Phenomenal experience I had at Ammons Dental by Design (James Island)! The atmosphere was VERY WELCOMING, CLEAN, and COMFORTABLE. All the staffs were AMAZING! They made sure I was comfortable, after learning how afraid I was. During treatment I felt NO PAIN, even during the numbing process. I went there with a broken front tooth...The services I received was an extraction, two crowns, and a bridge. I’m ecstatic with the results, my crown matches my teeth Perfectly! I would most definitely recommend Ammons Dental by Design (James Island)! Especially, those with anxiety when talking about going to the dentist.

For the past 5 years or so, I have slowly fallen into a deep depression because of my smile. I couldn’t even go out in public because I was afraid if I spoke to someone or just smiled, my teeth would show and I would be judged. Money has always been a problem and like most people, I felt like I had waited way too long to see the dentist. I finally worked up the courage to do some research and make some calls and that’s when I found Ammons Dental. Honestly, that’s when my life changed. Kelsey was the SWEETEST and most caring person I had met thus far during my research of the dentists in Charleston. She immediately made me feel like I mattered and was worthy of their time. She was so informative and helpful when it came to finding me a payment plan and setting me up with a consultation to see what we could do about my teeth. She went above and beyond to make it possible for me to receive their help. That’s when I met Wendy and Dr. Hustead or in other words, angels in disguise. Throughout multiple appointments, they went out of their way to ensure I was happy and comfortable. They were so warm and supportive during every single appointment and they worked tirelessly to give me the smile I’ve always dreamed of. I finally feel like I can be happy again. I no longer have to keep my head down and hold back a laugh or a smile with strangers and even with my own husband and kids. In my honest opinion, they CHANGED MY LIFE. No exaggeration. They changed everything for me and were able to pull me out of a black hole by giving me the smile I’ve always dreamed of. If your looking for a dentist that also makes you feel like family, choose Ammons Dental. You won’t find a more caring, patient and hard working dentistry than them.

The greatest place on 🌎 to get fitted for a mouth guard for grinding. Using a scanner. Not by mold!! I was given a plan to have better 🦷 and costs for each step. The team from the front to the back is Super. A wealth of knowledge is in that building with the latest technology. Thank you for always being a pleasant experience.

The dentist suggested I get a root canal even though I had a clean x ray at an emergency appointment. I decided to cancel the root canal to get a second opinion from my regular dentist. Be aware that there is a deposit to schedule a procedure and if you cancel, there is a 3% fee you won’t get back. For me, that was $12. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance because their phones aren’t working, you’ll be charged a cancellation fee. For me, that was $120. If you want x rays sent to another office, that will be $50. $182 for this office to do absolutely nothing but give me problems. I suggest you go somewhere else.
