I was very excited to find a new dentist local to me, but will not be returning after being rescheduled by the office once and then being turned away at the office because I didn’t have medical clearance for a clean up from my OB. I wish I was told this prior to coming to the office, there were several opportunities to ask if I was pregnant since they made a new patient profile which contains my date of birth and can see and that I am of childbearing age. Just a simple question would have allowed me to get the forms in time and move forward with my cleaning. The hygienist was comfortable performing the cleanup and has had no issues with pregnant women, it seemed to be the secretary without the medical background who was very unhelpful and did not want to be held "liable". I will not be returning.
