I have been a patient of Dr. Relis for over 30 years. He is always kind and his staff is amazing. His receptionist is so very kind and helpful. Everyone comments what a beautiful smile I have and it is thanks to Dr. Relis and his staff!

The receptionist is extremely rude. She was very condescending towards me regarding coverage and her overall mannerisms she is NOT capable of dealing with people on a daily basis in an office setting...they may do better if they have a more pleasant people friendly receptionist since shes the first person you see in the office. Dr. Relis was ok. Nothing special about this practice but appointment availability is a plus.

I am so happy that I found this dentist! I’ve always been very intimidated by dentists and always put off visiting them. I’ve been to so many dentists over the years that I never remember the names. I will usually go to one, hate them, and move on to the next. Dr. Relis is the first dentist who actually made me feel like he knew what he was doing and helped me to understand what needed to be done. I was put off at first by where the office was located, it didn’t really look like a dentist office outside, but maybe that’s just because I’m used to going to dentists in the suburbs where they have a whole building to themselves. Everything was pretty old school, and so is Dr. Relis himself. I knew I had a ton of cavities and I needed to get my front teeth fixed because the bonding I got when I fell down the stairs 7 years before was severely yellowed and the teeth looked as if they were dying. Dr. Relis and the two wonderful women working with him made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Being a Pitt student and away from home, their helpfulness gave me reassurance. The receptionist was extremely helpful with helping me figure out what my insurance would cover and scheduling all the procedures. The hygienist made sure I was comfortable the entire time (every time) and was delightfully chatty. Dr. Relis did something that no other dentist had done for me before, he sat down, showed me everything that was wrong with my teeth, made sure I understood, and gave me different options as to how we could proceed. He actually put the mirror in front of me and showed me EVERYTHING. Then he gave me the magnifying glass to look over the x ray plates and see where the problems were inside my teeth. Every time I have gone to a dentist in the past, I’ve met the dentist for all of 2 minutes so he could poke around in my teeth, talk in cryptic dentist code to the hygienist, and leave. DR. RELIS TOOK HIS TIME. He was so friendly and knew what he was doing! I decided immediately that I liked him, so I went ahead and let him fix my front teeth. After 7 years, I finally have a beautiful smile! I am so happy with all the work that he did! I highly recommend Dr. Relis for: -people who are afraid/ intimidated by the dentist -Pitt and CMU students who need something done while they’re away from home. -Anyone who wants a more than competent dentist. I only hope that I can return the lovely gift Dr. Relis gave me in my new teeth with this review. I cannot sing my praises of him enough.
