Amazing Team 3It’s absolutely horrible. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you want an empathetic, caring staff or dentist. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to any person of color or minority because of how you may be treated. My mother’s first language is not english but she’s spoken it sufficiently. She would bring us for our appointments, and the ladies on the staff would always speak to her disrespectfully and treat her like she was stupid. One nurse, who was an older lady, when looking at her xrays with the dentist, made derogatory remarks about what she was seeing. She spoke with disgust to my mother and looked at her with contempt and disgust. Absolutely unprofessional from "experienced" medical staff. On another occasion, my mom was set to have a fill-in. The dentist filled the tooth in so much that my mother couldn’t close her teeth all the way. When she went back to ask for him to shed some off, that same nurse from before told her she would have to pay for it "since it was a separate treatment." My mom said no, I shouldn’t have to since it was a mistake y’all made, and the nurse yelled at my mother, saying what she said again, but yelling at her like she was stupid. There’s no need to ever yell at a patient like that. My mom brought my dad in, who’s a native english speaker, and when my dad followed up with the nurse about what she had said and how she acted, she denied that she ever said that. She denied ever saying that my mom had to pay for the treatment, tried to write it off, and said, "She must have not understood me😒." After my dad confronted them and my mom was sitting down to have some of the overfill shaved off, the dentist came in visually pissed off and angry. He proceeded to do the treatment but used his tools so forcefully that he ended up chipping off a piece of the molar behind the tooth he was supposed to be working on. My mom didn’t notice until she got home and felt the chip with her tongue. By that point, they had already decided never to go back there. This was some years ago, so now, the place where that chip happened has begun to erode. My mom was traumatized medically by this place. If my mom had known more english and her rights the way she does now, we would’ve sued the hell out of this place. The doctor displayed such disgusting behavior. He and the nurse let their personal racial prejudice get in the way of their oath to do no harm. If you are a minority, person of color, or don’t have english as your first language, they will do half assed job on any of your treatments. They will not care about what happens to you, and if you try to correct it, you’ll get humiliated, or they will attempt to take advantage of you and swindle you out of more money. I wouldn’t go here even if it was the last dentist’s office on earth, and I was at risk of my teeth falling out of my head. Absolutely despicable.

The staff at Dental Care South is friendly and efficient. Dr. Skalnik is gentle and kind and does a fantastic job. I was seen at my apartment time with no waiting. I plan to make Dental Care South my regular dentist.

Dr. Skalnik & his staff have always done an excellent job at meeting my needs. He does a very exquisite job in all of his work. He’s definitely the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Each and every person working there are very nice, friendly & welcoming. They have always gone out of their way to make me feel at ease and as comfortable as possible. I highly recommend his office.

I absolutely LOVE Dental Care South! Lauren, Ms. Pat, Dr. Skalnik, and the entire staff there are phenomenal! Each visit truly leaves my mouth feeling refreshed! I’m thankful for their service, care, and dedication to my children and me!

Dr. Skalnik and his team are extremely friendly and efficient. I’ve had two appointments at this point, one of them being for fillings (which I am terrified of). They made it as comfortable as possible, and were much more gentle than my previous dentists and technicians.
