The dentists here are very nice and I really hate giving poor reviews, but the Smiles company really needs to treat patients better. More often than not, when I am told that I will receive a call back to schedule an urgent appointment, I never receive a call, particularly from the answering service. More than twice, I have been placed on hold by the office staff and then hung up on, just to call back and get the third party answering service, because the staff went on lunch break. I’ve barely been able to get timely appointments for urgent matters including a recent filling replacement because the first time it was done here it was not adequate and could lead to a root canal. I was told to get an appointment within two week, which I was finally able to do after multiple calls and then finding childcare. The day before my appointment, I was called and told I needed to reschedule or I would have to wait for other appointments ahead of me because of scheduling issues. Any mother of three including an infant knows how difficult it can be to work out childcare for these situations. As a healthcare professional, I really hope that the company reexamines it’s model in order to avoid putting it’s patient’s health at risk.

While the wait times on the phone and insurance price confusion could be improved, my experience at this dental clinic was largely positive. The dental assistants were excellent, creating a friendly environment, and the prices were fair. Dr. Aditi stood out as a professional, honest, and caring dentist, making the overall experience worthwhile! Just be sure to double check the insurance coverage, costs, and treatments you are doing.

Edit: after speaking to the office again I do appreciate the effort they put into fixing a bad situation. The dental care is fine, but I think I will probably not return here from a scheduling, billing, and insurance standpoint. It’s hard to schedule appointments and there was a lot of confusion and stress regarding my insurance and what I was required to pay for treatment.

Dr. Ghassemi and his staff were great. The office staff was gracious as well. The second phase of my tooth implant was completed quickly and painlessly and I am happy to report that the second phase, implantation of the screw, has a far easier healing period. I used the painkiller the first night, but have been fine with ibuprofen since then. I was expecting this part of the procedure to be equally as challenging as the Extraction and bone graft and am pleased to report it is a much gentler phase of the procedure. Thank you all. Dr. G is the best!

I normally don’t leave online reviews, but after a few years of going here, I have decided to switch dentists due to consistently having issues with scheduling and a perpetually understaffed business. Dr. Mak is great, and probably the only reason I kept using Davis Smiles. The staff is generally friendly, but trying to get an appointment here is a disaster. First available is always over 6 months out. I had multiple long awaited appointments cancel, leaving a year between cleanings. Today, I showed up for my appointment and had to wait an hour to be seen by the dentist. The assistant that polished my teeth spent less than two minutes applying the product and the rinsing it off. I felt like it was rushed, and I’m not even sure if she polished my front teeth. During the appointment it was determined I need to see a specialist. No surprise, the first available appointment is EIGHT months away. I hope my tooth doesn’t get worse before then. After I booked these appointments for the end of 2024, I walked to my car, only to realize that the dental assistant left the whole entire bib and clip attached to the back of my head. I’m tired of waiting 8+ months to wait for 1-2 hours for a cleaning that apparently takes less than 2 minutes to complete. I called another local dentist and was able to schedule for next Friday to have my dental issue looked it. If you have a flexible schedule or a lot of time to waste, then you probably won’t mind going here.
