I really liked this practice - a good staff, friendly dentists and quality care. There are the usual sales pitches that, I feel, have become a hallmark of modern dental practices, but nothing over the top. That said, I’m leaving the practice because getting an appointment here is virtually impossible. I don’t know if it’s a staffing shortage or a lack of organizational competence but there is massive mismanagement happening on the scheduling front. If you can get an appointment, you’ll likely be happy with the care you’ll receive but good luck with your follow-up visits.

I had the true pleasure to see Dr. McConnell yesterday for what in my mind was extensive dental work . Because of my EXTREME anxiety with dentists I had a few problems that needed immediate attention. Dr . McConnell was true to his word and was able to perform the procedures he needed to do virtually pain-free. It is my first experience in a dental office in 68 years that was truly pain-free. The staff at Marin modern dentistry was equally fantastic. They were helpful they were courteous they did not look down on me or treat me differently because of my severe anxiety in a dentist office. All in all it was a absolutely fantastic dental visit and I would not hesitate to recommend Marin modern dentistry and Dr McConnell for any and all of your dental needs. I almost look forward to returning to the office for future dental needs. I’m extremely happy that I have found a dental office that I will not be afraid to go into. Thank you to Dr McConnell and his staff for helping me to cope and deal with my dental issues with professionalism.

Going to Marin Modern Dental was one of the biggest mistakes I have made in a long time. I went in for a cleaning back in 2018. Of course, they found a ton of other work that needed to be done including root canals and a deep gum cleaning that was going to cost me several hundred dollars. I did have a couple cavities filled but then went to another dentist to ask about the root canal. I had NO NEED for any root canal or a deep gum cleaning!! Marin Modern Dental was going to give my unnecessary treatments that even required anesthesia. I could not believe it. Obviously, I never went back. As it turns out, that was only the beginning. They started sending me so much mail desperate for business. I was had been living with my grandmother during the time that I had my appointments with Marin Modern Dental. I called and emailed Marin Modern Dental telling them that I would not return and to stop sending me mail. They did not stop. I later called again to say that I had moved away from Novato and again to stop sending mail to my grandmother’s residence. They did not stop. In fact, they then began to send mail to my EX-HUSBAND at my grandmother’s residence. My ex-husband never lived in Novato, never visited Marin Modern Dental, and never had any reason to receive mail at my grandmother’s house. I called and emailed Marin Modern Dental to have my ex-husband’s name removed from their mailing list AGAIN. Four years later, they still send mail in my ex-husband’s name to my grandmother’s residence. I feel harassed by this dentist. I have been harassed by this dentist for four years after not receiving good care in the first place. What can I possibly do to get this business out of my life once and for all?

Absolutely the best dental group ever, and I have enough experience to judge. The best people, from file clerks to senior dentist. The best technology and equipment, including prep for a crown and walk out wearing it in just over an hour. The most comfort in any dental care anywhere. My husband is terrified of dental care because of terrible experiences in the past; he allows MMD to take care of him. Simply the Best
