Michael R. Duryea - Duryea Orthodontics Lakewood

This place is a JOKE. I’ve been an Invisalign patient of theirs for over a year, and there is a significant lack of professionalism and respect shown towards me as their patient. They have no regard for anyone’s time. One time, I had a scheduled appointment with them, so I took off work, drove 45 minutes to their office, and, to my surprise, they were not present. No one bothered to contact me to reschedule my appointment. I asked the front desk staff why I was not informed about the cancellation and was told that there was no phone number on file for me. I’ve been their patient for over a year now, so how is this even possible? Last week, I had a check-up appointment scheduled with them, and they called me to cancel because they were "overbooked." They said they would call me back to reschedule, and I am still waiting, 7 days later. I’ve tried calling them multiple times but their phone number always goes to voicemail. On top of that, every time I go in for an appointment, they always seem to be running 30 - 45 minutes late. It is extremely disrespectful to be treated this way, especially since I paid $6k upfront for this treatment. I worked SO hard to save up the money needed for this treatment, and their service leaves me feeling unsupported and helpless. Save yourself the frustration and disillusionment I have experienced and opt for an orthodontist who values their patients’ time and well-being.

The customer service of this office is abysmal. I had an appointment a month ago, they told me I had to come to Littleton since their Lakewood location was closed. Okay, fine. I google the address and it takes me to a closed office. I call (with 15 minutes until my appt) and the receptionist just says I’ll have to reschedule. Okay, I took off work, drove out of my way and they were unwilling to just give me the new address. Fine. I reschedule. I just got a call an hour before my appointment telling me they’re no longer taking new patients. Okay, thanks for the heads up! What a waste of time.

Dr Duryea and staff were amazing today. So I had hip surgery 4 weeks ago, still using crutches and can’t sit in a regular chair yet. Today I had a long hour and 1/2 appointment. They were so nice and accommodating. Can’t thank them enough.

If you are looking for a good place to get braces I highly recommend Duryea Orthodontics. Every person who works here is amazingly nice and caring. The technology they use is mind-blowing. I got a call the night I got my braces on from Dr. Duryea which was the sweetest thing. He let me know what to expect the next few days and weeks and made sure I was doing okay. Back to the technology. If you are like me and hate having impressions done, great news for you! They have a device where they scan your mouth/teeth instead. I was told sometimes impressions are still needed but it made me so happy to not have to do them. Everyone communicated with me through the process and it made things go so much smoother. I had consultations at other places but none seemed to compare to Duryea Orthodontics. I highly recommend at least getting a consultation and checking them out!

We have been seeing Dr Duryea and his staff for 5 years or so - with two series of braces for my son. It has been a great experience all along the way and he is really great relating to the kids! Such a wonderful outcome now and my son is happy as well.
