Dr. Elizabeth Miro, DDS

Dr. Miro is kind and gentle and my experience here was great! She was booked for a while when I called, but the front desk was able to get me in earlier by putting me on a waiting list which I really appreciated! The dental hygienists were very friendly and also gentle and always asking if I was ok and trying to make me as comfortable as possible. As someone who is usually afraid of dentists, this is a big PLUS for me! I did have to wait a while for follow up appointments, but again, they were kind enough to move me up by putting me on a waiting list.

Horrible work and constantly billing without justification. Whether it’s after the appointment or months later, they’re constantly sending bills even after insurance covered the costs.

Been going to miro for about 8 year. Front desk are rude. If you want to schedule an appointment for a check up, you’ll wait months, always booked. If you have an emergency, they will see you in a few days at their leisure, not accommodating. You’ll always see a different dentist, not consistent. The dentist seem mediocre. The last few times I’ve seen miro, very nice lady. However the last time, she did a few cavities, which I had no pain. It wasn’t until a few days later I was in agony. I called the office, font desk was sorry nothing open, she suggested I go to the hospital. I was desperate, I had to see another dentist; who told me the procedure should have been done by a specialist, because it was a deep cavity, which know required a root canal. I only kept going to miro, because they accepted my insurance. This year, no more miro, my company changed dent insurance. My suggestion, stay away from them.

My suggestion: if you do not have a flexible schedule, do not try to make an appointment with this practice. I have not been able to see Dr Miro even once. Her schedule is always booked- perhaps this means she is good at what she does! But I really am unable to say because scheduling has been difficult. For example, I had to make an appointment over 3 months in advance due their busy schedule- When I calle in September, their first available appointment was not until December. December came and then they canceled due to weather. I now need to wait another two or more months to see this dentist. I really dont think it makes sense to stand by this long for a check up and teeth cleaning. To their credit, the assistants do call you a day prior to new openings- but if you work 9-5 and M-F, you will not be able to be flexible.

I had a dentist I loved going to for many years, but, unfortunately, my insurance changed and he was no longer covered by my new plan. Saw the reviews for Dr. Miro and decided to give her a shot. The first time I had a cavity there, the hygenist numbed the wrong part of my mouth and I felt the Novacaine needle. She apologized half-heartedly afterward, but still, I was seething. (How could you be so incompetent?) While I’m sure Dr. Miro’s work is fine, she has absolutely zero bedside manner and showed NO compassion when my most recent filling was painful. She even admitted it was deep and close to the nerve. While I’ll agree with the other reviews on here that her front desk staff is very pleasant, I won’t be returning and would never recommend anyone to come here.
