Simon Orthodontic Centers

My oldest son had his treatment done with Dr. Simon himself. He was highly competent and knowledgeable. My son’s teeth and smile after treatment came out beautifully. Then I had my two younger ones do the treatment with Dr. Simon as well, but halfway through the treatment, Dr. Simon passed away. No office staff member notified me of his passing, as I should have been. The office never sent me a written notification or made a phone call to inform me of this event. Because I trusted Dr. Simon due to his excellent job with my oldest, I allowed my children to go into the treatment room without me thinking it was Dr. Simon doing the work. When the braces came off, my kids’ smiles looked the same …..: they were a straight line, and it looked fake and unnatural. It was when I went inside and asked to speak to Dr. Simon, and one of his staff members gave me the news of his passing. So it turned out the assistants were doing the moving of the brackets. I was highly dissatisfied. It has been quite a few years after treatment, and I find people who tell me the nightmare stories of their children’s smiles being unnatural and super straight, and I always follow with, don’t tell me, Dr. Simon!! And then they are perplexed. They should remove the name Dr. Simon’s Orthodontics as it does not honor the outstanding orthodontist he indeed was. One more thing: the office in Kendall is horrific. This is were my two youngest did the treatment, but both the Coral Way office and the Kendall office were operated by the same people.

Simon Ortho Center is a family friendly environment, filled with a professional caring dental staff. I have had 2 boys coming here for years now and I am very grateful for a their attention and excellent ortho service.

This is the worst orthodontist that exists, the customer service is terrible, they do not answer the phone, they do not meet the schedules and if you ask to speak to the supervisor, they are never there, the Dr does not speak to the parents. Do not come to this place, before it was good, now it is terrible.

I have had my braces for some months now and at first the staff was lovely but then after a couple of months everything changed. This orthodontics center opens and close whenever they feel like it. For example sometimes it’s Monday and Wednesday then sometimes it’s Tuesday and Thursday. They are not consistent or flexible when it comes to their scheduling. It makes it very difficult to make appointments and keep up with normal scheduling with the dentist. They do not try to work with your schedule instead they would just push your appointment all the way back. For example, I was told by my dentist to come back in 4 weeks but the lady told me their was nothing available for the time I need until 7 weeks later. It messes up the process of the braces then the doctor tells you that you are behind when you come to your next appointment. It is very frustrating to be paying your money every month and for the staff not to try to work with you.

If you’ve never been to a cattle farm and watched the animals as they are herded into a holding pen and processed....you’ll understand what it feels like. Nothing wrong with what they are doing but it’s not my thing. The only company I know that has been able to keep a solid customer service record while herding the masses is Disney.
