She graduated from FIU with a major in chemistry and minor in psychology and then went on to dental school at the University of Florida. What she hadn’t expected was to discover a passion and determination for the pediatric side. During her time at dental school, Maigrely had the opportunity to participate in several mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. That’s when she realized she had a natural gift – working with children. With her newly-declared specialty and new-found passion as her guide, she then completed her residency at the University of Florida and began practicing in Miami shortly thereafter. Maigrely loves to read books, go the beach, and spend time with her husband. I fear the blood curdling screams of my child may haunt me forever and I can’t imagine what she is going through. I told Dr Abreu that my 5 year old didn’t seem to be numb yet and she kept going saying she had given a lot of local anesthesia. When she extracted my baby’s tooth without anesthesia and continued throughout the screams it was clear to me that I brought my baby to a sadistic butcher. My baby used to like going to the dentist. After today we are traumatized. Would give negative stars if I could.

Dr. Abreu’s practice is one of a kind. You are greeted in the lobby by her friendly staff as your children make themselves comfortable on one of the ipad chairs available that are stocked with fun educational games. Once you enter there is a coffee/tea station for us on the go parents who enjoy a pick me up while we wait on our kids. The children are then seated and you are instantly treated like family. The technicians are very thorough and prepare the children gently to be seen by the dentist. Any dentist in this practice is top notch. My 3 children have been coming here since the beginning of time and we have even visited the Key Biscayne office and have left very happy with all the services. You will be extremely happy at this practice. Oh! And they also handle orthodontics in house so you never have to go somewhere else! My children don’t fear going to the dentist and that is a huge relief for me as well. At the end of the visit the children are rewarded for getting through it like champs with a treasure box treat. There is also extra freebies they stock to put a smile on the childrens faces -like pencils and protective lip balm. Which are our favorite! My only wish is that this practice would have around when I was a kid!
