Today I had a consult scheduled for Invisalign. I showed up to the appointment ten minutes early and filled out my paperwork. I was called into the back by the dental assistant. They told me that I would need an X-ray in order to proceed with the Invisalign consult. Since this was news to me, I asked if I could send my X-rays from my dental exam from two months ago instead of paying $75 for a new X-ray. Maribel the dentist then walked in out of nowhere and literally told me verbatim that I was wasting HER time (while tapping on her watch) because I did not want to pay $75 for a new X-ray and then walked out. The assistant then took some photos and Maribel walked in again and turned the screen to show me the photos, stating that my top six porcelain veneers are way too big and thick relative to the bottom teeth. I asked her how this information pertains to my Invisalign consult and she indicated that it is clinical information and maybe it was too much clinical information for me. I’m honestly not sure where this lady gets off telling potential clients they are wasting HER time and that their veneers are too big? Where is her sense of professionalism? What does she think will happen to practice when there are no more clients to service?
