Orthodontic Options - North Miami

Their North Miami branch is an awesome orthodontic office. My full treatment lasted 19 months and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I was fortunate to have had two doctors work on my braces. Dr Karen Nachum & Dr Mike Wiernicki. Their front desk staff we’re also very accommodating and understanding whenever I was running late. 10/10 experience and I would definitely recommend.

On March 7,2024 , I had an appointment and was gearing up to be seen by Osuri Yau, D.D.S. Matters turned rather quickly, because I could overhear small chatter about my appointment. I was supposed to come into the office at least by January. However, I personally didn’t receive a text. I called into the office and made an appointment once I realized that one to many weeks had gone by. The issue at hand is the mere fact that your employer Joseline, inserted herself by making photocopies of private text messages sent to my phone from the office. She was loud , unprofessional, and irate as she began shoving the screenshots to me. I told her it’s not a big deal, I’m here now and she proceeded to scream at me “ you’re making it a big deal.” Joseline, continued to make matters worse as she towered over me laying in the chair by aggressively tearing the paper next to me. This scene was horrific , sad and uncalled for. My 5-year-old son, patients and staff saw what happened. I cannot turn the blind eye to the unprofessionalism that took place in your office. To resolve the problem, I would like a follow up on what’s being done as far providing proper customer care services to all diversities that enter your office. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem.

Great Service. I Came in as Emergency Visit Due to my Braces Wire Stabbing my gums. They took me in like I was one of their own patients. Even though my orthodontist office is in Aventura, they were able to see me with no wait time.

Dr Yau is caring and professional. I had a new bridge so I needed a replacement retainer. The first orthodontist I tried wanted to charge me for a complete Invisalign set for $5200 and over 7 months of visits. Dr Yau made me a new retainer same day for only $275 which is all that I needed. I am so happy with it!!!. What fantastic service!!! Dr Yau is the best👍

The worst clinic to choose if your looking for an orthodontist look else where. I am now 5,000 out of pocket my orthdontist DR.YAO literally prolonged my treatment kept telling me she needs more space BEFORE my oral surgery, then they were out of gold wires, I pay an additional $1,500 to dental options for my oral surgery it goes bad the wire fell out the next day so I had to do it over again and this is who they referred/partner with. Now today at my appt they are saying that I have to pay $150 a month to be seen at my orthodontist because I am over my treatment plan. That is another $1,800 out of pocket. They tell me today they can’t treat me if I don’t trust them and to find another orthodontist AFTER I’ve paid $5,000 there. So I tell them that’s fine give me my release form and my $150 back I paid today. I was literally in the lobby for one hour after paying $150 only to not be seen because she wanted to keep bringing the front desk lady back, then they said I had to speak to the dr about the financial part, I spoke to the dr and she says the front desk is who I need to speak to about the finances. Front desk lady is VERY rude and has been for the entire 30 months of my treatment. Dr Yao literally had other ortho/dentist looking in my mouth confused at the treatment I was receiving and why she kept my baby tooth in my mouth for one whole year while being treated, kept saying she was making space. I am now looking for another orthodontist to give me the proper treatment after paying $5000 here at this clinic for 30 months. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! They have signs saying if you are late they can’t see you but you literally wait in the lobby 30+++ minutes to be seen every time. Ask for print outs of your treatment and see how many fees they add even if you call to reschedule they have missed appt fees, they never answer the phone when you need to reschedule they have a answering service that literally is no help. The late fees and hidden fees are crazy. Don’t let them prolong your treatment like they did mine or youll be paying thousands on top of quoted treatment while NOT at fault they don’t follow the contract.
