New Hope Dentist

All doctors and staffs are very good. They have done a great job in explaining issues and treating. Also they will suggest treatments based on our insurance policy. For example, they have suggested me to do few things next year because my insurance will not cover everything this year. I am coming here for more than a year.

Long story short, I haven’t been to the dentist in about 2 years and I smoke cigarettes and do not brush my teeth as often as I should be. I know this. But I went there last week, with a lot of anxiety and nerves because I knew I wasn’t embarrassed of what people were going to think of me. Sarah the dental assistant is amazing she is friendly, awesome and understanding. So is the female doctor I do not recall her name. I had a great experience until the very end when the front desk lady "Indian lady" was going over my review over the work I needed. She basically said in very rude way that I need a lot of work which I know, and she also said my insurance is basically trash no good, I went home and cried. She is the reason I have been embarrassed and afraid to go to the dentist. Just writing this experience is upsetting me right now. Other than that it’s very clean and they are very up to date with all their equipment. I’m ashamed to go back because I literally have even more anxiety now.......

I do not recommend New Hope Dentist. I have been here a total of four times - my husband and I are now moving dentists. The old Dentist was pleasant and nice, however they changed dentists with no communication and the new dentist’s bedside manner so to speak is terrible. They also charged me for fluoride when I have verified numerous times that insurance covers it, and charged me a deductible when I do not have one - I’ve reached out NUMEROUS times to them about this and I get no response. I am filing a claim with my insurance against them. There are many options to choose from in the area, do not choose New Hope Dentist.

Went in pretty nervous about getting my last 2 wisdom teeth pulled, because my last experience at a different dentist was very painful. But to my surprise New Hope made this experience not so bad at all and relatively pain free.

I’ve been going to this dentist for almost 2 years now and I also went to their south Austin location. Dr. Z is amazing. She is patient and understanding to people with dental anxiety. She will explain all your options very clearly and even give you a timeline on what she thinks you should get and when. I had previous horrible experiences with dentists and Dr. Z has done a wonderful job fixing the mistakes of my previous dentists. Sara and the other hygienists are also wonderful. If you ever need a break or just have any kind of discomfort they are quick to stop and let you have a breather before continuing. I’ve gotten cleanings as well as fillings, crowns, and wisdom tooth removal here and have only had 5 star experiences. The front desk staff are wonderful as well. They are willing to work around your schedule and will even call you when there’s a cancelation if you are wanting to come in early. They will even recommend when to come in and get treatment in order to maximize your insurance benefits. Overall I’ve been here countless times for multiple issues and have only positive experiences. I highly recommend them to anybody I know.
