I am 70 years old and have been to many dentists in the past, this is the best place in Orland Park I have ever been to they surely do make you feel at ease, best experience ever. I would recommend anybody for anything to go there. I went there with problems with the Dentures I just received at another dental office which were horrible dentures and now thank God for Aspen Dental my dentures will come out the way they are supposed to.

This company promotes being able to perform dental work on the same day as your first consultation. This is only possible though if the specialist is in the office on that day. If the person who performs cleanings is only in once a week, it’d be nice to know that ahead of time. Also, if the person who performs root canals is only in once a month and I say to you over the phone I need a root canal, that should be mentioned over the phone. Not only that, but I was told I couldn’t have a root canal performed until I got a deep cleaning. I went somewhere else the next day and had my root canal performed. The roots in my tooth were severely infected and was causing extreme pain. The fact that the first dentist really thought a cleaning was more important is beyond me. And with the schedule their specialists follow, I wouldn’t been able to been seen anytime soon. On a positive note, the staff are all very friendly and the office is nice.

Usually, I don’t have an issue but something must have changed. The RDH, Amber, is great and she’s efficient and I always ask that she does my cleanings and Danielle was great as well. This last visit that I had there was not great at all and it mainly had to do with the communication. I called and made the appointment for a cleaning and I made that known when I called. Granted it had been about a year since I had been there but every year they do the X-rays, etc before the cleaning but it all gets done during my appointment. This time apparently they only booked me for an “assessment” and they wanted me to come back for the cleaning. When I asked why since this has never been the case before they said it was because it had been a year since I had been there. I asked them why this wasn’t explained when I made the appointment and I specifically came in for a cleaning and I couldn’t get a straight answer. They decided to “squeeze” me in for a cleaning since I was there. My appointment took 3 hours which is ridiculous. The other issue I have is that they tack things onto your bill and they don’t tell you about it. I was given a form to sign for a cancer screening and there was a charge associated with it if my insurance doesn’t pay it. They never asked me if I wanted to get this done but decided to include it as well. Also, I got MI Paste in my bag after my visit. I didn’t ask for it and I was told it was included in my bag but when I checked my invoice a day or two later, I was charged $38 but I was never told about it. Their communication at this location is horrible. Make sure to question about if they’ll be charging you for things and check your invoice before you leave.

This appointment was supposed to be a tooth cleaning and exam. I was even told the hygienist would see me after the X-rays were taken. Instead, the dentist saw me first, which doesn’t make sense because they usually do the exam after my teeth are clean so they can see everything. Then the dentist basically said she wouldn’t do fillings until I straightened my teeth, and they took me into a back room to do a hard sell on a treatment I didn’t ask for while neglecting my actual needed cleaning. I was there for an hour and a half and literally got nothing out of it. A huge waste of time, a terrible first impression, and I am absolutely not going back. I’ve been to other Aspen Dental locations before, and this is the first time I have ever not had a cleaning done at my appointment. Since they already charged my insurance for the X-rays and exam, I will have to pay out of pocket to go somewhere else to get what I need. But I would rather do that than ever go back here.

I went there after having a lot of tooth pain, I knew I would need root canals and had been putting it off for a long time. I’ve had dentists where the receptionists would mock patients who couldn’t afford to come back, and I at the time was definitely one of them. The staff here was friendly, understanding and incredibly thorough. I feel like I actually have a solid plan now to achieve my dental goals. The office manager made me feel so comfortable, and helped me find a financing option that worked for me so that I could actually afford to get my teeth fixed instead of just accepting loosing half of them because it felt so out of reach. (Plus the prices were way cheaper than any other quote) I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone. After years of struggling with depression and loosing control of my dental health, I never thought I’d get it back- but I actually have hope now. Thank you guys!!
