Don’t go here. They are literally paid more if they give more crowns in a day so they’ll just perform unnecessary dental work on you so they can get the extra $$. It’s a big money scheme and no one is truly there to help you. The staff are very argumentative right off the fly with any issue you bring up. They’ve almost got my card several times at the front desk to pay hundreds because they never even checked if my insurance covered it. Told them to check it and sure enough it was covered, they just said “oh oops sorry”. I got motto clear aligners and the clear retainers and now my teeth are messed up forever and they do not care at all. I take such good care of my teeth. I brush, floss, use mouth wash and scrub my retainer out every day so I know the issue is not me. My retainer has given me 14 cavities and 1 root canal so far. I have NEVER had a cavity before having these retainers. I know it’s got to be a saliva flow problem. I talked to Aspen and told them all my issues and asked if they could make me a Hawley retainer instead (which was the nicest thing I could’ve said in this situation). The girl said she didn’t know what that was 😶, didn’t know anything about the motto plans and was very short with me. She showed absolutely 0 remorse or empathy for all the pain and thousands of dollars I’ve put into fixing the damage their retainer caused. She and her staff said they wouldn’t accommodate me in any way and I have to go somewhere else to get help. This is my only set of teeth and they will never be the same after working with them. I would’ve felt very different if they came at this situation maturely and with empathy but there was none of that. Im actually so devastated that my teeth are ruined now. I wasn’t asking for much considering how much money and damage they’ve caused me. Just please don’t risk it and go here. I’m just sad.

When I book an appointment for a teeth cleaning, I expect the get a teeth cleaning before leaving. Instead I spent 2 hours of my day, got 2 x rays, saw a hygienist for 5 minutes and the dentist for 5 mins, thank goodness no dental work needed at the moment. But then be told no cleaning today I’d have to make another appointment.I have never in my life had an establishment that I made a specific appointment for a specific service waste my time in such a belligerent manner.

Everyone very nice & professional. Everyone performed their duties well. Dr Adams explained choices & process well. He was to the point. Finance lady , Tameka very personable, cordial & knowledgeable. She helped us get finances in order for my husband to get snap on dentures/implants. It was awesome they were able to get impressions done same day & will get surgery & his teeth soon!. We highly recommend.

They did well to get me a quick emergency appointment, staff was courteous, A referral to an Oral surgeon was made with assurance that Aspen would electronically send my x-rays to that office. Aspen failed to send the x-rays to the surgeon so my dental annual cover expenses was charged again for the same bite-wing x-rays. Aspen charged me when I had no co-pay. After contacting my insurance provider they told me I could file paperwork with them to process the return of the 200.00 x-rays charge. I called Aspen and notified them they indicated I would have to wait up to 3 months for the refund. The dentist was nice even sweeping the floor. Costly errors in verifying insurance coverage. Perhaps they were just having an off day.

I have mixed feelings about my time at Aspen Dental. Everyone on staff is SO friendly, however, I had some strange experiences. There were times where I had an appointment and waited an hour or longer to see the dentist. There was another time where they tried charging me for a treatment I had not agreed to (luckily I caught it and they removed it from my bill). The final straw for me was when I had sensitivity to cold in one of my teeth. I was treated by Dr. Adam two separate times to try and help the pain, and it continued to get worse, which led to needing a root canal from a specialist. I am not sure if that is a normal progression but I went from having very minor sensitivity to extreme throbbing pain after receiving treatment. That is when I decided to get a second opinion elsewhere and have not returned back. Maybe it is just my strange luck, or complicated dental history but Aspen Dental in Blue Springs was not a good fit for me. Ashley, the dental hygienist, is AMAZING and I never had a single complaint about how she treated my dental work/cleaning. All the dental assistants were equally amazing and so friendly. The one awesome pro to Aspen Dental is their hours/flexibility, which is why I stayed for so long. I am not saying they are unfit dentists, but you definitely need to keep an eye on what you are signing when they give you any sort of paperwork, and look over your bills well. Maybe consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to anything major. If you need basic dental work and a flexible schedule they will probably be a good fit, but I would not come back for anything else.
