McCabe Dental Clinic

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Dr. Matt McCabe! I’ve seen him for years, but recently, I had an emergency that involved a cavity under an old crown that needed to be re-filled, as well as a root canal and a new crown. I was in a significant amount of pain when I called to make an appointment, which happened to be the day before a holiday, but Dr. McCabe saw me that day. He removed the old filling, completed an extensive root canal, and replaced the old filling with a temporary filling and crown. I was due to return to his office on Monday. He called late that afternoon to check on me as the work he completed was significant, and he was concerned that I might be in pain. When he called, I had been in terrible pain for a couple of hours, but I was planning to push through it as it was right before a holiday, and I didn’t want to keep Dr. McCabe or his staff after hours. He encouraged me to come back in, which I did, thank goodness. I was at his office until almost 6:30 that evening. The work he completed relieved the pain, and I was good to go until I saw him the following week. He and his staff were incredibly kind and thorough throughout the entire process, from removing the cavity to placing the new crown. I’m so lucky to have him as my dentist, and I will never see anyone else for my dental needs.

If you want to lose your teeth let the Vietnamese girl clean your teeth!! I had been going to McCabe Dental Clinic and seeing this hygienist for years, trusting her care and thinking I was getting great care. Boy was I in for a shock! I recently moved and got re-established with a new dentist office and the new hygienist took a full hour for my cleaning. I was always done in less than 30 mins at McCabe’s. I was then told by this new hygienist that I have gum disease and would need to see a specialist. I asked why the sudden change and she explained that this wasn’t something that just happens over night. I went for my consultation today with the gum specialist and almost fell out of the chair when I saw what it was going to cost. I am beyond mad and if I lived closer I would go confront this hygienist on why she has not been doing her job, because if she had, I wouldn’t be out all this money I’m about to have to pay to get my mouth back to a healthy state. I’m tempted to find out if I can report her to the state dental board for negligent care.

I have recently moved permanently to the Coast . I was Amazed at how well they handled the Covid Precautions . They asked me to call when I arrived and then allowed me in . No one was in the waiting room . I was escorted back straight back to my room . I was diagnosed with a cracked tooth . Dr Matt explained 2 options in great detail. My sister was a dental hygienist . Dr Matt allowed me to call my sister in N.O. and left the room . My sister told me which option to choose . Dr Matt was FANTASTIC and more than Helpful and Supportive . ---None Better .--- P.S. His staff also reflect his true caring and were most gracious .----Thanks Team

Dr. Matt McCabe provided me with the best and most thorough treatment and customer service I’ve ever received in a medical setting! I was scheduled in as an emergency first-time patient, and he treated me as if I was his own client that he’d known for years. I was given his undivided attention during consultation and procedure, and he was very helpful with his advice and expertise.. My procedure was also painless and time effective. I will definitely use him for all of my dental needs from now on.

If I could give zero stars to Dr. McCabe I would! I referred my mother to him because when he did some work for my husband recently he was cheaper than others locally and she is a cash paying customer with no insurance so cost was important to her. She had the worst imaginable experience for several reasons, even now weeks later, she cries talking about it. First they are WAY understaffed with actual dentists to be taking new patients and way over staffed on teen assistants that are unable to help the patients on their own. She spent more than 3 hours in his chair, mostly waiting unattended for periods of 45 at a time as he saw many other patients throughout her apt. The actual extraction of her tooth took a few minutes so it’s unclear why he didn’t just get it done and get her out if there and the actual work he did was incredibly rough and painful and he acted as if he was angry at her. As he returned after one of the 45 minute waits she jokingly said, "I thought you forgot about me" and he turned around and yelled at her saying " I guess you forgot to cone back a week ago like I told you to". It was all down hill from there. My husband only needed a broken tooth repaired so the work wasn’t as painful but he did say that he was very rough administering the numbing shots and had terrible bedside manner. He also spent over 3 hours in the chair as he left to treat other patients every few minutes and felt as though he was rude and didn’t understand why. He’s clearly overworked. Spend your money elsewhere. Trust me!
