Toomey Dentistry

I have so much appreciation and respect for Dr. Toomey and his staff. Ever since September 2020, my jaw has been locked despite physical therapy for 4 months, a steroid pack, a muscle relaxer, and mouth-guard adjustments at my regular dentist. I went to Dr. Toomey’s office and, right from the start, the office is clean and the staff is beyond friendly. I had a variety of diagnostics performed and the visit lasted about 2 hours total. I spoke with Dr. Toomey and his staff, and I can’t say enough with how kind and caring they were throughout the whole appointment. Dr. Toomey had made the call for me to have an MRI and a CT scan performed, and I will forever be grateful that he did, because that is how I found out my disc in my jaw is displaced. He called me in after he got the results and sat me down. He talked through what was going on in my jaw, what potential options are, and had recommendations for oral surgeons. He spoke with my primary dentist and my physical therapist, and made sure to keep me in the loop. I truly believe Dr. Toomey is the type of doctor/person who will go above and beyond for his patients and their care. While I can’t personally afford his very reasonable and understandable cost for mouth-guard adjustments, Dr. Toomey and his staff’s attitude towards me was never anything besides compassionate and caring. He made sure to remind me that him and his office was there for me if there is any additional help I might need. I absolutely recommend Dr. Toomey!

Dr. Toomey has my highest recommendation. After suffering from TMJ for 15+ years, I had given up hope on non-surgical treatments. I made an appointment with Dr. Toomey as a last resort after receiving a recommendation from a trusted source. I first saw Dr. Toomey in October. Over these past few months, I have seen a dramatic improvement in my TMJ. I don’t wake up in pain anymore. He has increased my jaw opening to a normal range, and I have minimal clicking and clacking and grinding and all of the other noises! I am still in treatment with Dr. Toomey and am excited to see what else is to come. My only regret is that I did not make an appointment with Dr. Toomey sooner.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I absolutely had to share my wonderful experience with Dr. Toomey and his staff. I have been suffering from TMJ for almost 20 years (that I know of) and have not had any success in receiving the proper treatment for my disorder. I happened to come across Dr. Toomey’s website and set an appointment. From the very beginning, his staff was extremely friendly and empathetic to the emergency I was having (I could not chew or open and close my mouth) and immediately set me up for an appointment. His office is beautiful, with a home like feel , and his entire office treats you like family..including Dr. Toomey! He did a thorough assessment and came up with a game plan to address my issue. This man is a wealth of information on TMJ!!! I had never been to any Dentist or Doctor with as much knowledge on this issue; and how it all ties together with some other ailments I have been having (neck and shoulder pain, migraines, to name a few). He took his time and explained EVERYTHING and provided my options; as well as his professional suggestion. If you suffer from TMJ, clenching or teeth grinding don’t waste any more time..just go to Dr. Toomey lol. His prices are extremely reasonable for the services he provides. It is well worth the out of pocket costs!!

I just became a patient at Toomey Dentistry in March 2017 and I cannot be happier with the results. I came to Dr. Toomey with questions about TMJ syndrome. He took the time to get to know me, my history and answer all of my questions. The results of my therapy were beyond my expectations. I sleep better at night, my bite is more comfortable and I no longer have any pain in my jaw. Both Dr. Toomey and his staff are such warm, friendly people - they make you feel like family!

I have been a patient of Dr. Toomey’s for 13 years. He was able to figure out why I was breaking teeth and needing root canals. He has evened out my bite and made a guard for me to wear and I have not had one broken tooth since. Now that’s a great dentist in my book. The office is very nice and all of the people that work there are terrfic. I recommend Dr. Toomey and his office to everyone.
