Shah Dentistry - Family and Cosmetic Dental Care - Dr. Advait V Shah

I absolutely hate dentist visits. It’s literally like going to the mechanic, where you go in for one thing, and they then list 3000 other things you need to get fixed that should have been addressed yesterday. Dr. Shah’s office is the complete opposite. 1) Front desk staff (Ms. Loucynda) is a godsend in customer service. I did not have to deal with any voice prompts/automated scheduling service, but instantly connected to an actual person. I originally had an appointment that was a couple of months out, which was fine, but before I had a chance to say anything I was immediately asked if I was comfortable being on the cancellation list. Usually offices do not bother following up with this, but within a week, I got a call saying there was opening. My personal and insurance information was taken at my initial call, so I had minimal paperwork to do when I went in for my appointment. 2) Hygienists were SO knowledgeable and personable. They were outstanding in making me as comfortable as possible during the initial evaluation, as I have so much trouble with the x-ray bite guards. I’m used to this being 15 min of constant nausea, but they worked around all my requests with no problem whatsoever. I’ve experienced so many offices in which no one bothered to inform me of ways to better my oral hygiene outside of floss more. Everyone took the time to make sure my brushing/flossing habits were correct. I had so many recommendations as to what brands of floss/mouthwash are better for my needs. 3) Dr. Shah is outstanding in patient communication. Dentist visits are usually a very one-sided conversation. Dr. Shah had no problem explaining in detail what my problems were, outlining what the treatment plan was going to be, and even going so far as to what was medically necessary and what was not. Most offices just want to do major procedures at the drop of the hat. I truly appreciate how he truly did not jump the gun and explained when he was and was not concerned with. I’m literally never going to be in the market for another dental office after coming here. 10/10 for customer service from everybody, patient education and patient care, and transparency. P.S. Everyone in the office is seriously kind. You can just watch any one of the staff interact with both patients or other staff, and you genuinely understand that you’re in good hands, and it isn’t just an act for patient satisfaction forms or google reviews. I have been going to Dr. SHAH since Dr. Gordon retired. He is an amazing dentist! He is thorough and explains everything to you. I recently had bonding on a front tooth and you can’t even see where he bonded the tooth. I called him over a holiday weekend and he answered quickly. I find him very interested in his profession too. He has a great office staff as well. I would recommend him to anyone who wants an excellent experienced, kind dentist.

My first encounter with Dr Shah was when he just opened his practice in 2015. My denture had broke on a Friday. When I called him, he came in on Saturday to temporary fix it with the office closed. Since then he has made a full set of dentures for me which are excellent. I highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Shah is an amazing dentist! I’ve referred many friends to his practice since I began seeing him in 2016, and they’re all very happy with his services too. He is gentle, kind, and thorough.

I have been coming to Dr Shah since his practice came to Timonium many years ago. My family and i have always had great experiences each visit. From making an appointment to routine teetih cleaning to having an invasive procedure performed, the entire staff are friendly, knowledgable and good at what they do. I always recommend Shah Dentistry!
