I found out about Dr. Zaller from a post in the Reisterstown Facebook group. I was looking for a new dentist & someone wrote a glowing review about going to him & how Dr. Zaller put him completely at ease (the person didn’t like going to the dentist). I called immediately & made an appt. That was over 5 years ago. Both my ex-wife & our son go to Dr. Zaller’s office. His practice has grown considerably from my initial visit when he was the only dentist. Now there’s three full-time & one part-time dentist. I cannot recommend his practice enough! His entire staff has always been extremely professional when I’ve dealt with them.

I needed some work done. Zaller put a crown on my tooth. It was loose. I told him. He said come back in a few weeks if it still doesn’t feel right. I did. He made me wait for an unreasonable amount of time. When he finally saw me, he had an attitude and told me he couldn’t fix it. I should go to a different doctor. Then he had the nerve to charge me for the visit. He was also unhappy with me, because I couldn’t have all my mouth work done immediately. I’ve never been treated like that before.

I went to see Dr Zaller a few years ago, as I moved to Reisterstown in 2015. My first visit was fine. As I needed A LOT of dental work, they were real nice to me and got me right in as a new patient. He wanted to set me up on a treatment plan which I denied as I was already planning to have all my teeth pulled, but at an oral surgeon, because I wanted to be put to sleep. Since then, the specialized oral surgeon who has an anesthesiologist, requested a referral from my dentist. I called dr. Zaller’s office, and requested the referral. His secretary immediately told me she didn’t understand what I was asking for. I told her I needed a referral to an oral surgeon to which she replied she didn’t understand. I asked to speak to the doctor and she told me "No", and that I needed to call the oral surgeon back and find out what they needed. After speaking to the oral surgeon again, they told me they just needed a simple referral, something very simple that any doctors office should be able to give me... I call Dr. Zaller’s office again, and was once again denied the referral.. After 4 months of dealing with major dental pain, and his secretary telling me that I wasn’t able to speak with him on the phone, I eventually just stopped in and he wrote me a referral in 2mins.. After having the dental work completed, buy a specialized oral surgeon with an anesthesiologist on duty, that’s located over 3 hours away, I called Dr. Zaller’s office again, and was once again denied a needed dental appointment as a follow-up, by his secretary... If you can get a hold of dr. Zaller, I think he’s a fine dentist, however his secretary is incredibly incompetent and I think that reflects very poorly on Sr. Zaller’s ability to hire employees, and has me questioning his ability at this point, and I can only assume that because I wouldn’t let him pull my teeth with only Novocaine, that I was being treated poorly by his "Office"... This makes them seem incredibly greedy to me. Because of these things I will no longer be visiting their office, and I don’t recommend that you do either...
