I’ve been thinking about your dad and reflecting on what a special man and dentist he was. I was a patient from the mid-1970’s to the mid-1980’s. My teeth were a mess because I was petrified of dentists. I had 13 cavities when I first saw your dad. I was encouraged by the sign he had in the waiting room, "We cater to cowards," and I certainly was one! To tell you how bad I was, he would give me a shot of Phenergan while I was in the waiting room and would have me in the chair well before my appointment for Novacaine. As you can imagine, there were a lot of dental emergencies. I’d crack a tooth, call your dad on my way home from work and he’d say, "Meet me at the office." He was very special and from all appearances you’ve followed in his footsteps and well beyond. I’ve invested a small fortune in my teeth, but the only reason I was able to even do that is because your dad got me over my fear.
