I had a new patient consultation appointment at 1:00pm on 01/11/2023. I waited outside the door because they are closed for lunch from 12pm-1:00pm. I was not informed of this prior to my appointment. I would not have arrived my customary 15 minutes early had I been informed that the office would not reopen until 1pm. I was on my lunch break. When the door opened a young lady said, ‘Y’all can come in’, without a greeting. I said ‘Hello’ with a smile. She said nothing in reply to me but greeted the other patient and escorted her to the back and was very nice to her. I walked to the front desk and the other lady asked my name. Again without a greeting. She proceeded to throw the new patient form on the counter that was attached to a clipboard. It made a loud sound. I looked at her in disbelief. I didn’t say anything. I was stunned that she was being so passive aggressive. She stared at me as if to say What are you going to do about it. I was saddened by how I was treated. I then said, ‘I’m sorry. I do not wish to be a patient here anymore.’ She looked at me and said, ‘Okay, bye’. She never asked why because she knew why. I do not have her name. She sits at the front desk, wears heavy makeup, hot pink lipstick and large faux eyelashes. She had on pink scrubs today, 01/11/2023. After I left, I called back to speak with the doctor to inform her of how I was treated. She was surprised and apologized for how I ‘felt I was treated’ and said she would speak with her staff. I will never return.
