I saw this doctor at Scarlett Dental in Zanesville and he was absolutely incredible. I was very nervous because I have had so many bad experiences with dentists. He was calm, patient, so very gentle and even hilarious. You can tell he’s a very kind man and cares about what he is doing. Very thorough, explains what he’s doing and what it’s going to feel like and why he’s doing it. I can’t say enough good things about him. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I wish he could have done all of my dental work my whole life. My teeth wouldn’t be such a disaster now. I am so grateful I found him!

Dr. Welch seen my 4 year old daughter for her first dental visit and he did amazing! He was kind and patient and explained everything to her. She is normally very afraid of doctors but had no fear with him. We had a very pleasant experience.

When visiting Dr. Bowen and Associates, Dr. Welch was working and he treated me. I have general anxiety disorder and a fear of the dentists. When I asked how many shots I would need and started to panic ( I received a filling for a small cavity) He snapped at me and told me not to question him, gave me two shots and I started to have a panic attack, (crying, hyperventilating) and he says "jesus christ" under his breath and says to the patient next to me "this is going to be a long day", making me feel even more embarrassed and upset. I understand he didn’t know of my issues but he treated me with impatience and was harsh and I will not be returning and I would recommend going anywhere else (or at least avoid scheduling an appointment on the days Dr. Welch is working.
