As pleasant as an experience as you can have and have your tooth pulled. My visit started with a very nice young man preparing me for my surgery. Then very kind lady came in and reassured me. We had a nice visit. I was hooked to an IV and relaxed waiting on the doctor. Dr came in he was pleasant and I was pleasant. He said I’m going to slow you down, which meant put me to sleep. Next thing I knew I was awake and leaving with my wife. You can’t ask for anything better than that going to a dentist. Went home relaxed, it’s the next morning and still no pain what so ever. This is a nice review, and expect discount on next tooth. 👍 😆

I had TMJ surgery back in August and everything was fine and they checked up after my surgery but now over a year later im having the same symptoms AGAIN and i called the office thinking because the symptoms are presisiting they would want to help and figure out what was happening but I called and they refused to see me due to them not accepting soonercare over 18 when I was told and I also work in a medical office you can charge thru soonercare until you are 21. I had to find another surgeon who by luck felt horrible about the way i was being treated and them refusing to help is letting me come to their office to fix what should’ve been done. I’ve even requested my records on multiple occasions and have yet to receive them.

My granddaughter had her wisdom teeth pulled awhile back and the dentist messed up a permanent molar, this was done through Dental Depot on Tecumseh. We have waited a long time to get it fixed, waiting on approval from insurance, etc, finally they recommended we go to Dr. Peter Carlson, who seen her and agreed it needed to be fixed. She had an appointment this morning at 8:15 in his Walker Street office. She is 18 but I know from personal experience dental is scary. When the nurse started to do the IV my granddaughter mentioned it has been easier in the past to start the IV in her hand, The nurse asked Dr. Carlson and he said he needed to be in the arm, yes she is a teenager and we have all been young she told him "just do it." He said well I cannot do this and walked out of the room. I would not recommend him to anyone. Why not try to make the patient feel relaxed, explain what your doing and why. I thought we adults should teach the younger generation about manners and being professional. He is immature and he also did not even know what he was doing to her teeth. Then being the adult that he isn’t he blamed everything on her. Apparently he thinks he is better than my family because he has a degree. I will be addressing this problem to the authorities but I hope this helps someone else. At gasoline $5.00 per gallon this was a waste of fuel, my time, loss of work and she is still in pain. I am generous with a one star.

I had my wisdom teeth removed today at the OKC-OMS office on South Walker. Dr. Carlson and his staff were very kind, comforting and understanding. I had never been sedated before and I was very afraid. The OKC-OMS team made me feel very comfortable and they were so so attentive to me! Everything went perfectly. Thank you!

Probably one of the worst experiences at a dentist’s office I have ever had. I got referred to a particular dentist whose name was Alan Miyake which is who I THOUGHT I made an appointment with but then got this young guy instead. Order of events: they have the dental assistant explain all the precautions and post-operative procedures I need to do in a matter of 3 minutes and have me sign that she "explained" all of it to me, it was like she had something better to do. Next they have a video film from the 90’s explaining wisdom teeth extraction which I thought would be nice if the DENTIST that was performing the surgery would explain to me. Finally, the guy I’ve never met before strolls in and is ready to pull the teeth out of me. This wisdom teeth surgery was my very first surgery so I expected to be reactive to things like anesthesia, pain, etc, and a lot of people I’ve talked to said it isn’t bad with a recovery time of 2-3 days max. It’s been a week and my cheeks are so swollen, I can’t even see the back of my mouth and I still can only eat liquid food. Sorry but this dental office is the prime example of what medical practice is turning into, young people who don’t see patients with care anymore but a problem that needs to be fixed for cost like an electrician, or a plumber. Sad indeed
