From scheduling to completion, I had a great experience with Dr. Ball and her professional team! I was one of those folks who saw Dr. Ball at the advice of my general dentist to see if a tooth with a crack that was also sensitive to pressure needed a root canal prior to a crown. Her staff took care of the imaging needed for her to decide that it didn’t need one - yet. However, she asked that I return to see her before the permanent crown was placed so she could test it one more time. I had the temporary crown placed and about four days later I noticed a dull ache that never subsided in the area of the tooth, so I followed through with Dr. Ball’s request to come back and further testing and my symptoms revealed that a root canal was now what I needed! 😉 My general dentist explained that it’s not uncommon for that to happen - the very event of prepping a tooth for a crown can actually provide additional information (based on symptoms and findings) that can guide us to the next step. I was one of those people who had always heard people say, “I would rather have a root canal than (insert something you really dislike to do here)!” So, I was a little nervous going in to the procedure, but I was in enough pain that I was ready for some relief - even if it meant a root canal! The best part of my experience was the fact that each person that helped me along the way communicated clearly and often about what to expect next - and what to do if I needed help, or was hurting in any way throughout the procedure. Although receiving injections in your mouth is never a fun time, between the topical gel applied prior to the injections and the very systematic way Dr. Ball placed the injections, I truly didn’t feel much after the first two. I had a stubborn back tooth they were working on so I received a few more injections prior to them starting the actual procedure because they would test to make sure I was completely numb before even beginning. Long story shorter - once I was all numbed up, I didn’t feel even one bit of pain! Honest! I returned to work immediately upon finishing at Dr. Ball’s office and although I was numb throughout the reminder of the day, I was not really in any pain thanks to the great after-care instructions given to me following the appointment. They checked in with me that afternoon and again the following morning to make sure I was feeling alright and not having any swelling or unmanageable symptoms. I received not only top-notch and very individual care from every single staff member who helped me before, during, and after my root canal treatment, I also told my family afterwards, “I wouldn’t say I would sign up for another one tomorrow, but I definitely will never be anxious again about needing a root canal as long as Dr. Ball is around!”

My experience with the root canal was much easier and better than I had anticipated. There was literally no pain. The facility was very nice and clean. The only issue I had was with the cost. I had been to my dentist the same day and paid for x-rays and an exam there. Then had more x-rays and a scan before they scheduled the root canal the same day. I have no insurance so it was a very expensive day.

I went to Dr. Ball hoping she thinking I was going to lose my tooth. She and her staff reviewed the situation, taking great care to rework a root canal and saved my tooth! She and her staff are very thorough. This is day 2 and I’ve not needed pain killers. I’m very grateful and will continue to go to Dr. Ball for help.

Dr. Victorica Ball and the entire staff at Contemporary Endodontics of Oklahoma are deserving of high praise. The office was clean, the staff was professional, and did all that they could to make the process as seamless as possible. Dr. Ball was a pleasure to work with. She was detailed, transparent, and had a fantastic communication with me as a patient. Her team had prompt follow-up, made sure that all of my questions were answered, and did all that they could to make sure that my experience was a positive one. Roo canals and the associated treatment are not something that most people want to experience, but if you find yourself in that situation look to Dr. Ball and her team. I give them a strong and positive recommendation.

I had an infected filling and didn’t know until I was in excruciating pain. Thankfully I was able to get in with Dr. Ball same day and was able to have the root canal done same day as well! They made the process extremely smooth and made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen. I felt comfortable and like I was in safe hands. Post Op has been wonderful as well! Minimal tenderness and not too much swelling! They definitely take good care of you as a patient and continue to ensure you’re fully taken care of! I would definitely recommend Contemporary Endodontics to anyone who is looking to have a root canal done!
